He is wherever you want him to be, as long as he's in your heart and your memory. I'm so sorry that he did not choose to live--I imagine he was in some pain here on earth, so he chose not to suffer any longer. You are a wonderful person, and I know he was proud that you were his sister. Take good care of you, and remember that he is still with you--all you have to do is think of his smiling face and the good times you had with him.
PLEASE don't listen to those who tell you he can't be in heaven! They cannot POSSIBLY know what a good and loving God had planned for him! Those people are presumptuous and cruel, and they are saying things that are just plain WRONG!! There is ONLY ONE being that knows what your brother had in his heart! Please trust that your brother is out of pain, he is safe from this sometimes cruel world filled with cruel people, and he loves you very much! And that fact, along with your memory of him, are the only two things anyone can know for certain!

My thoughts are with you. My Brother attemped twice. I don't belive that you are going to hell if you take your own life. Life is so hard at times that that is an easy ansewer. I belive that those who have commited suicide, given the chance, whould choose to stay here awhile. Who can say? Just remember that God has this Great Big world mapped out already and he doesn't make mistakes. Your Brother had purpose in this life and his memory will always remain. Somewhere, maybe this will prevent another from the same fate? Above all remember to keep your memories of him close. That way he never really leaves you. God will allow you to understand in time, until then hold him in your heart.

While some may say that suicide is an unforgivable sin, those are men's opinions. Since I have not the mind of God, I cannot say for certain.

Conversely, I cannot assure you that he is in Heaven, either.

What I can tell you is that my God is a loving, merciful, God.

If in the nanosecond from when your brother made his decision to his untimely death, he called upon the name of the LORD, he was forgiven and is in heaven at this very moment.

While I cannot be sure of your brother's eternal home, I would ask you that if YOU believe he is in heaven and you want to see him again, I can assure you of your place in heaven.

Well he will be in heaven if and only if he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. That is the only way to get to heaven. Not by good deads but through Jesus. Even if he did commite suicide he will be in heaven if he gave his heart to Jesus!

First of all, I am truly sorry for your loss, and I will pray for your brother. The Catholic Church used to deny suicide victims a Christian burial because of their misunderstanding of the nature of both the victim and of God's mercy. The church has since become enlightened and knows that only God knew the victim's heart and state of mind at death. People that commit suicide have unresolved problems that keep them from realizing God's love and mercy. God's love is unconditional and he doesn't punish people who do things in a state of confusion anymore than our courts do that are run by people created in his image and likeness, just like you and your brother. God bless you.

Sweetie, he IS in the hands of God. I went through this 17 years ago. My brother in law committed suicide and 4 months later, my fiance killed himself as well.

Here's the deal. God would NOT send a child to hell who was unable to make a right decision about life. Neither is He going to condemn one of his children who is so desperate that he takes his own life. He was obviously NOT capable of doing what he needed to do to help himself, and in desperation, did the only thing he could to stop his pain.

Sweetheart, God is a loving God. The Bible calls him "ABBA Father" which translates into Papa, or Daddy. He loves your brother, He understands that your brother was not fully in control of himself mentally, and He has welcomed him home.

I truly, truly believe this. The bible also tells us that as believers, we will sin, and before we've even had time to ask for forgiveness, Jesus has gone to the father on our behalf to ask for our forgiveness. So, even if your brother did not have time to ask God to forgive him, Jesus did. Rest in this, please. Just rest in it.

Hugs,

Amy

For your lose I am sorry, and for the rude remarks some will give you I am also sorry, I wish I could spare you that.
That is one of the bad parts of suicide, it's the ones they leave behind that do the suffering.
Please, understand that noone knows what happens when we die, spend your time remembering your good times, and just accept the fact that you can only love someone you can not live there life for them, he made his choice, wish him well, and get on with your life. And just maybe, you will meet his soul again. He's in your heart, keep him there.

Everyone is given a second chance. I'm sure he is in Heaven. If he killed himself, he probably wasn't felling like the same person he knew he was ( i was depressed and attempted suicide) If he was mentally sick ( and by that i mean depressed or bipolar, i dont want to offend you by using that term) than God has forgaven him, and even if he wasn't sick, God forgives everyone who asks for a second chance. God Bless you, and your brother.

It depends ur religion. In my religion, Thats concidered a sin and no he wouldn't, but if you are baptist and your brother was saved (basically bapitism.) Yes he would be in heaven. Of course there is always the argue about this because suicide is a sin. Some people say that if you are a good person and love Jesus Christ with all your heart and love every body you will go to heaven. I'm sorry for your lose and hope i helped! God Bless you and your brother.

Sweetheart, it is just not a good idea to go asking this question to people who don't know you. You are opening yourself up to all manner of abuse and misinformation.

I have no idea where your brother is. Only God knows. Anyone who claims to know may have good intentions, but they don't know the mind of God.

Pray for your brother's soul. Pray that God have mercy.

God, after all, does have mercy. This much I do know.
