Before you start Bible-bashing, I am a Christian myself and read the Bible, so this is not an outsider vision of things.
Christians were murdered for having a different point of view, but now they pursue everyone who is different (LGTB, other religions, etc) I agree with proselyting, just not with mobbing.
What do you think?

Pretty sad isn't it?

My dear friends,
let us love each other,
since love is from God
and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
Whoever fails to love does not know God,
because God is love.
(1 John 4:7-8)

True, sometimes we need to correct our brothers if they are hurtung themselves by sinning. This must always be inspired by love, and not a desire to feel holier than thou. People aren't stupid. They know the difference. Even people with different opinions than my own still need to be treated with respect and the human dignity given to them by God himself. Who is going to be open to listening to the truth if they are being beat over the head with it?

I like the way of St Francis: "Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary."

I am a christian which means that I follow Christ. Not God alone. I believe
in the triune God. God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ his son.
Three in one. God says that the only way to God and heaven his
through faith in his son Jesus Christ. That is what I believe. I don't
believe in any other religion that does not agree with this statement.
It doesn't mean that I do not tolerate diversity. I am glad to be
in America where I can practice my faith freely. I tolerate other religions and people practicing them. I just don't agree with them
thats all. I also don't think that Christians are the least tolerant
to diversity. I believe that would be muslims. Not all,but a great number of them want anyone that doesn't practice Islam
and follow Mohammed converted or dead. So in other words. Many Christians are still murdered for having a different point of view. As far as pursue. If you are a christian than you know that
we are to go out and preach to all nations the Good News of
how we are saved through faith in Jesus.

what is lgtb? i don't see any mobbing, but there will always be all types out there. based on how i was raised, it's a miracle i am not an atheist. had it not been for God...

to answer your direct question as it is stated, love does not necessarily, and probably doesn't in most cases anyway, mean lying about what is right and wrong.
however, i have noticed the confrontations get out of hand when christians fail to see where the others are coming from. if they would be led by the Spirit of God more there would probably be a lot less of that, i'm sure.

You get the seemingly anodyne Christianty-lite Alpha Course spreading all over the place teaching that gays are evil ...it's an extremely agressive bullying tactic which you see throughout the Christian sects.

It's a deliberate vilification not honestly backed up by scripture which says nothing about homosexuality per se at all, Scripture does however appear to disapprove of buggery whether between two males or between a male and a female...It seems it would suit heterosexuals who indulge in a bit of buggery to interpret scripture to mean homosexuality and for homosexuals to dismiss the antique texts as unintelligible and too far removed in time to make any proper sense of today ...which indeed they are, nobody can be sure how these antique texts should be interpreted or to what exactly or to whom in particular they apply.

The basic precept that is supposed to guide Christians is to love the sinner but hate the sin. As far as other religions go, consider this analogy in the context of love for a moment.

Say someone has a well built on their property and they believe that it is healthy to drink their well water. You happen to know that there used to be a mining operation in the area and that all of the well water is contaminated with mercury and lead and that if a person continues to drink well water they will eventually die a painful death.

It it loving to respect their right to believe that their well is safe to drink from? Is it disrespectful to tell them that they need to turn away from that belief and start drinking water that will truly sustain their life and not give them an illusion that this is the case?

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

It's the same way with people who will not turn from living a life characterized by sin. They may have fun for a while but unless they repent and turn to Christ they're doomed for all eternity.

That doesn't justify "mobbing" them, but if you are a Christian then how can you claim to be loving your neighbor as yourself if you are letting your neighbor run towards the edge of a steep cliff and you don't want to warn them and tell them that they need to stop and go the other way?

Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Dear Axel,

Doctrine of love speaks about the heart and souls of the human being but tolerant and diversity are related to power and domination over the others (in total it is a politics). If you just left one religious (extreme) people to act freely through your love and tolerance, within two generation you request love and tolearation to them. Their religion might have content certain code to increase the religious population. You may give birth one or two, they give birth 5 - 10, their population size will increase arithmatically and they will ask to anounce your nation as a religious nation. Your christian community ( I am also indian protestand christian) never says anything about politics, but others' religion says more about power and politics. Your religion is only talking about love, peace, toleance, truce etc. Other religion is talking about religious war. So you could not tolerate all directions and diversions pf other religions, especially for your own welfare or your nation welfare.

Like I've been saying for years "don't blame the religion blame the people the people who ****** it up" Its like the popular kids in high school they we're all outcast at one point in their lives but once they become top dog they forget whats its like to be on the browner side of the fence and use their "new found" power and insight to make sure everyone else knows that they are better and everyone should be like them or suffer the consequences. Which sadly is human nature and because of that the true messages are lost to in the "I'm better than you war"

Least tolerant to diversity? Imagine you're a bank teller working behind the window of a bank, and you've been shown the truth of what real money is. How it looks, feels, reacts under light, etc.

Now someone comes up with a BLUE $20 asking for change. Why not just be tolerant to it? I mean, in this example, a person has given you a so-called $20 bill haven't they?

Half an hour later, another comes up asking for change using a single red $21 dollar bill. Again, why not just be tolerant to this diverse example of money being thrown your way?

Because as you well know as I do, these such examples of money are false! fake! wrong! misleading! dubious! deviant! And you'd know it the second you'd see it! So it is with a true Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ!

He/She lives his life, and hears of such false teachings of Budda, Allah, the Pope, Confucious, Zen, and you instantly say," these such examples of faith are false! fake! wrong! misleading! dubious! deviant! And you know it the second you see it! Once the truth of the truth hits you, you never accept anything false. It makes no sense to do so.

THANKYOU AXEL!!! This is funny as I am the only person at work who is not a christian and I am the first to ask why they are using the N word, or why the hell they are making fun of the quadrapalegic that just rolled out of his van. Not only that, you can always realize that the reason the western world is ruining the earth is the same reason you don't do as well at your job as you do at a career (western world being christian) there is no emphasis on improving this world or the people around you Jobs are not permanent ...careers are Earth=job heaven=career and our grandchildren will pay for it.

I don't think that is true...

there is a difference between not having tolerance of diversity and sticking to your beliefs...

if you don't agree with someone it may simply appear to be intolerance when in actuality it is really that person disagreeing with radically different beliefs...
