Because Water increases in volume when frozen. Most liquids that have water as the main ingredient will expand and explode if in a full closed container.

Water is unique in its temperature related properties. Most objects shrink as they are cooled, water does too, but before it shrinks it sets up a crystal structure that forces the molecules apart. this occurs between 0 and -4 Celcius. After which time the lattice shrinks. IF you can freeze the coke fast enough it wont explode. Cuz the laticeing does not occur.

Because as liquid becomes a frozen solid, it expands. Notice your ice trays when you fill them, then later when they're frozen. They're larger. The molecular structure has taken a different form going from liquid to solid.

because when water or i guess any other liquid freezes it expands by 7-9% and that iced drink has no where to escape and has to break it's way through that can.

Because you forgot? seriously, its just another example of the weird physics of water. It expands when frozen when most things contract. Weird molecules.

well ,i dont think so , its expands more then the original one . only it become solid .yah.because of the freeger . just a cycle of water turns to ice , ice turns to water .that all.
