Cheap Labor?~
~AT WHOSE EXPENSE~
Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage,

Consumers don't want expensive produce,

Government will tell you that Americans don't want the jobs

But the bottom line is cheap labor.

"The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie.

There is no such thing as "cheap labor."

Take, for example, an illegal Mexican who sneaks in here with his
wife and five children.

He takes a job for five or six dollars an hour.

At that wage with six dependents he pays no income tax, yet at the
end of the year if he files income tax he gets an "earned income credit"
of up to $3,200 free. [[He, & his family are not citizens of this country]]

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent,

He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled they qualify for SSI.

Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for medicare.

All of this is at that taxpayers expense.

He doesn't have to worry about car insurance, life insurance, or
homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed
material.

He cannot be fired, harassed, or sued.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in
benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after
paying their bills and his.

Rique, do you realize that every time you post, you make a complete a$$ out of yourself? You don't know the first thing about me. My husband works 70 hours a week sometimes at a very difficult job. You don't know what you are talking about.

Wow! You pretty much laid it all out here! Thank you very much for being so well organized and able to provide this in such an easy to understand manner!

However, the pro-illegal supporters will still sit there at their computers and say to you now, "But, they just want to provide a better life for their families!" "Why don't you just leave them alone, they aren't hurting you, personally!" "You are a racist and a xenophobic!" etc., etc. You and I have heard it all a million times on here. They won't even listen to reason or even concede that these points you make are true.

The pro-illegals on this forum are ALL either illegal immigrants, themselves, or their parents or other loved one is illegal, or they are employers of illegals - therefore they have a very biased reason for wanting the illegals here and wanting amnesty for them.

Just once, I would like to hear a person who is a pro-illegal to actually admit on here that they know all these things are true and that the illegals really are more of a drain than they are contributors to our society and economy, but that they really just want them to be able to stay because they have a personal reason such as they have illegal parents, illegal spouse, or that they hire illegals to save $ for themselves at the taxpayers' expense. They won't even just admit that, however. Therefore, I have absolutely NO respect for any of them. If one did admit this, then I would at least respect their admission and their acceptance of the problem, despite their own personal involvement with illegal/s.

It's a very complicated issue, and I agree with some of what you said. There is one thing that people need to realize though. The illegal immigrants in our country don't have SS numbers of their own, and when they get paid their paychecks have SS tax coming out of them, plus the employer matches this amount (which is what happens with everyone's pay) and this money goes to the SS administration. These immigrants are NOT able to collect SS benefits, thus it has been keeping our Social Security from going broke, since there are more legal citizens withdrawing money from it than they've ever put into to it to begin with. The government didn't take into account that the general population would be living to the age that they are now, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

At any rate, I do agree that illegal immigrants take enormous advantage of free and government subsidized services, and it DOES cost the public more than they realize.

However, also, I don't think that most people realize that over 50% of all income tax that is collected from United States citizens is paid by the top 5% money earners, so they're doing most of the paying, don't you think? But, then, if you tax the rich more, doesn't that ultimately come out of someone else's pocket?...such as the average American's potential wage increases?....So, you see, it keeps going on and on in circles.

Wow, how silly, someone voted against my answer...guess someone didn't want to hear about how things really work.

Exactly....Now don't get me wrong I love Mexicans. But I do not enjoy paying other peoples way when I am struggling financially myself. So why do the illegals keep coming on here and saying that the tax issue is a sham and they contribute and that if they left taxes would go up?....With all the info I'm recieving it seems like taxes would go down and wages would go up.That's what makes this difficult. When you have love for your own but then you also want the standard of living in your country to go up...... Hard descisions.

Laborers are on the losing end of cheap labor that benefits the capitalists. Under the labor code, the workers must be protected in the employment contract with an equal footing with the employer because both are indispensable elements of a good enterprise.

Cheap labour has been needed because the Americal labour are highly technical and educated. If any American has failed to compete with fellow american he will counteract with immigrant, illegal immigrant and Mexican. America is providing lots of facilities to human development, the people under utilised the resources are competing and fighting with the immigrants.

I agree that we pay the price for business's cheap labor, and our children pay the biggest price with degraded education as most funds for special programs are funneled into ESL programs.

I'd much rather pay a nickle more for a tomato.

Your right . the thing that gets me mad the most is when our own citizens look down their nose at poor working whites or blacks yet fall all over themselves to help and support illegals. Its the working AMERICAN that made this country great and abandoning him will bring this country to its knees

Why then, don't you go to Mexico, become a Mexican citizen give up your American citizenship and sneak back into America and work for a low wage if it is that good.
