"why would Jesus play a game? why? he doesn't need entertaining. we do. we are simple little minded creatures that need silly games to keep us out of our own way."

Likewise, I say to you, why would Jesus create angels and humans to worship and serve him? Why? He doesn't need praise. He's an omnipotent, self-sufficient power-house containing the infinite wisdom of the universe. So why would your majestic God have "simple little minded creatures that need silly games" to serve him? In fact, I dare say it's rather blasphemous and pretentious for you--a lowly, simple human--to even think that a God would want your love or service.

For our purposes, Jesus and God are the same--you heathens.

First of all, Jesus didn't create angels and humans, God did that and he created Jesus. Also, it's not that needs us around, he just wanted to create this beautiful world. That's why Earth was created. Then he wanted the world to be inhabited, so he first created all of the animals. Then, he wanted to create intelligent life forms, so he created the first humans Adam and Eve. Then they ate the forbidden fruit and were booted from the paradise known as the Garden of Eden. From there, they started the increasing of the human population to where it finally is today. That's why we're all born with original sin and must be baptized ASAP. And now to your question. Why does he want us to love and worship him? Well, it's pretty obvious really. Since he created everyone and everything, he wants us to love and worship him. Let me ask you. If you created everything you see around you, wouldn't you want a little recognition for that. It just makes sense. That's why we must worship and love him.

God made mankind in His own image and because we are so similar to Him is the reason why he loves us so much. He made us perfect and good but his first creations were deceived by His enemy, the Devil. We have all the knowledge necessary to do every thing imaginable, but our desires to exceed His greatness and our greed to become as what we perceive Him to be has reduced us to being simple, blasphemous and pretentious. However, God's love for us was stronger than our pride and self-hatred in that He sent his only son, Jesus Christ to die as a sacrifice for our wrongdoings and thereby, to remove the debt of sin from us and make us the perfect creatures that we started out as. The only problem is in order for that sacrifice to work for each of us, we must accept Jesus as our savior and obey his two laws that He gave us before he died and arose and went back to God, His Father. They are to love God with all our hearts , all our mind, all our soul and all our strength and the second is to love one another: love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If we accept His sacrifice, he will restore our original perfection to us. Would you let your only child give his life as a sacrifice for anyone you didn't love? I think NOT. God Loves us all.

Well, I think that all has been misinterpreted. I think Jesus was meant to represent us - each of us individuals. I think they meant that we are all divine children of god and capable of amazing things. It is we who create angels and such - and god is more a facilitator than some being lounging in our praise and doling out punishiment.

I always think it is a shame to see people mired in limiting beliefs. I am pretty sure that was not the intention.

Peace!

Yeah, but He does love me. God is love. He created man/woman because of that love. His Son Jesus came to earth, because of that same love. And He wants our love and service.
You will never understand the ways of God..He said that His ways are not our ways..You are trying to understand God with your lowly, simple mind..QUIT IT!!1 It can't be done.

Because angels, etc., predate Jesus. He didn't create anything except Christianity, God did, according to various bibles and other religious texts.

I would think that Jesus would like to play games to help distract from all the prayers he has to answer (that must be a tough job). I wonder if he likes xbox or ps2 better....?

I think you are confusing GOD with JESUS, and so are the people you are talking about. Jesus is not god, he is the son
