I have very dry hair...what is the best shampoo/conditioner to use to help with that?

Other than shampoo and conditioner, what else can I do to get my hair into better shape??

If you don't wash it every day it builds natural oils. Also massaging your scalp helps stimulate circulation and promotes natural oils as well.

Other than that, mayonaisse concoctions are said to help help dry brittle hair, beer shampoos homemade ones, but what I found to be the best all time thing for dry brittle hair, and I am hypothyroid so my hair is very brittle and dry, is olive oil. I use pure olive oil on my hair, leave on 20 minutes once a week, it softens nicely. Did you know you can use hand lotion on hair too? It penetrates hair shafts to soften too but only use that in a fix, because the chemicals in lotions are not good on the hair.

If you want to spend the money buy hair dye that comes with a conditioner and just use that. They work better than any other conditioner that i have tried and i've tried lots. It makes your hair very silky and shiney. Other than that I like all matrix products they can be expensive but it's worth the money.

People swear by ojon but I haven't seen any miracles for it on my hair. I prefer Alterna- everytime I use their products my hair acts better than I have ever seen it.
