My body has been acting strangely over the past 2 months. I have had insatiable hunger and have gained 10-12 kilograms because I cannot get full and cannot stop myself from eating, which is not something I have ever done or had trouble with in the past.

I have had extreme thirst and am constantly thinking about how thirsty I am and how I need to drink some water.

I've been lethargic and I find it hard to get out of bed and hard to function through the day as I always feel tired and worn out.

Also, my skin and hair has always been healthy and shiny and lately it has been dull, dry and awful, nothing like what it has ever been.

I don't know what is wrong or whether there even is anything wrong. Should I see a doctor?

You sound as if you have a thyroid problem. In any case, see a doctor as soon as possible. Do not put it off any longer. You have already put it off too long. Call tomorrow and make an appointment with your doctor.

Well, I'm no nurse but I have personal experience with the same symptoms you are relating here. Have a doctor run a T3/T4 on you. It's a simple blood test to check Thyroid function. These days, many times just a simple pill each day will re-regulate your Thyroid. In my time, only solution was surgery, in which they took 3/4ths of mine out . Check it out on the internet search engine too. Punch in Thyroid Hperactive and Hypoactive, symptoms, ......you'll come up with a wealth of information. But your symptoms sure sound like mine were.
The blood test is simple, quick and necessary who ever it may be , with or without these symptoms. I almost died prior to being diagnosed and this is heriditory in my family !! Take action.........period. Don't wait and don't wait for answers here, okay? Good luck

Sounds like Type II diabetes. You really need to see a doctor. The three major signs of diabetes is polyuria (increased urination), polydipsia (increased thirst), and polyphagia ( increased hunger). Other signs and symptoms include blurred vision, erectile dysfunction.
It is hard to diagnosis over the Internet. The lethargy sounds like thyroid. Do your self a favor and see a doctor.

I 'm not a nurse but It sounds to me like seeing a doctor would be in order. You have too many different syptoms that have cropped up so fast that you must be concerned and should have blood work. You've gained a lot of weight in a short time
It could be any number of things but what ever it is seems to be affecting your metabolism.

You may have blood sugar problems, thyroid problems, have a vitamin deficiency, hormonal problems, many other conditions....or not. You need to see a doctor so he or she can do appropriate testing. A good rule of thumb about whether one should go to the doctor is to ask yourself: Is this problem impairing my ability to carry out my daily routine?? It sounds like you are struggling. Get to the bottom of this ok??
