I like a girl a lot and she says we're good friends and she opens up to me and i do the same. But how do i get to that next step? it frustrates me to think about it sometimes because you have to get to know the girl but by then she might consider it as a "just friends" thing and not something that could become anything more. and how would you be able to rescue the friendship if it doesn't work out?

Whenever you change a friendship to a relationship you're takin a risk of losing that original friendship no matter what. Couz you never know the reasons why you might brake up. Some people need to stay as friends and some people are too valuable as friends that you shouldn't take that risk. Now ask yourself, if it doesn't work out can I handle not havin her as a friend or if she doesn't have the same feelings back would it change our friendship? The best thing to do is not beat aound the bush and just share what you feel. Just make it clear that the friendshipo is still valuable even if it doesn't turn into more. But don't keep that doubt in your head if you think there might be a chance for a little romance.

Answer: you don't. Move on.

Seriously, girls do not "open up" to guys they consider attractive, sexy, et cetera. They only "open up" to guys they consider caring, sensitive... in other words guys that remind them of their girl-friends.

The only possible way to be more than this girl's friend is to start being really mean to her. Girls are much more likely to be attracted to the strong male form of a guy who's a total as*hole than an "I'm there for you" type. If in doubt, just look around at some of the pricks who have hot girlfriends.

My advice: take up a lot of guy-type activities. Boxing, working out, motorcycles, whatever. Start ignoring the girl. When (and I say when) she chases you down to ask what the problem is, just say there's no problem, but you're busy with _____ (fill in manly activity here). Don't be afraid to be an as*hole. Tell her you can't hang out because you and some buddies are going to see the strippers, et cetera.

If you EVER had a chance with her, at that point she's going to chase after you to be her boyfriend. If not, you are wasting your time with her.

Unless you LIKE having a chick as a friend. Chuckle.

tell her to put out, or you won't be friends anymore

or if youre one of those nice guy types, use softer language

but you have to do something a bit dramatic, otherwise she'll brush it off and it'll never change

well, maybe she's only just friends because she doesnt like you like that. or she thinks you're too desperate for her... you need to play her hot and cold
