Who decides that some people will live a wondeful life and be rich and happy, and that others must be born into poverty, famine, pain, suffering, etc.? I just don't understand. Religous people always say that this life is temporary compared to the after-life, I guess that is some relief for those who suffer during their mortal life but, even still does that mean that some people get to live in heaven twice while some only get to do it once? I was just thinking of all these things... What do you think?

When I said RICH, I was just giving an example, I know that being rich doesn't have anything to do w/ happiness.

Also, when I said go to heaven twice, I meant that some people are so happy here on earth, its like heaven for them and then they go to heaven in the after-life so its kind of like "two" heavens.

thinking always gets me in trouble. simple faith is all you need.

faith that those that suffer will not suffer without a purpose that we do not understand. to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. no twice thing. you are thinking of the rapture and the second coming of Christ.

that is way to deep for you to understand now. just remember that our minds are limited, the angels are smarter then we are.

no more tears, no more suffering, no more pain. I think that you are here in this forum for a reason. Is there a thought that you should maybe read the Word of God? You are searching and His hand is there for you to grasp. He will never fail you. All you have to do is ask.

I can see why you are confused about the justice of this system and unfortunately, there is none. The first human pair sold us into sin and death as well as suffering and sorrow. In fact, while it may seem to you that those with wealth and prominance are happier, they too soon find that they are dissatisfied and miserable and pitiable as well. The reason for that is that those things are not the things that bring a person true happiness. Rich King Solomon expressed it best in the book of Ecclesiastes when he says over and over "this too is vanity." Look at how many movie stars and successful people commit suicide or turn to drugs and alcohol while it appears to the rest of the world that they have it made.

In the afterlife, however, Jehovah God will be in charge and he will make all things fair again. Anyone who choses to love and obey him will live forever happily in peace. Anyone who doesn't will be forever destroyed so that they can't ruin it for the rest of mankind. We will all still be individuals but we will be willing to accept and appreciate the differences in each one of us and all prejudice will be put aside forever. Even those who have died will come back to life again to have an opportunity to live in harmony and happiness. What could be more fair than that??

It has nothing to do with religion. People are born poor, rich, homeless, middle class, its a part of life. The reason for this is the family. Amazingly enough, not everything is an act of God per say, he lets humans make mistakes, its our flaw, we aren't perfect. You can always make your life better, but you need to try, not everything is given to people on a silver platter, just as people are born homeless but could one day be a great president if they worked hard enough and had big dreams. Also, no, people don't get to live in heaven 1 or 2 or however many times, you either go to heaven for eternity or your blotted out (based upon my religion), and it has nothing to do with your social status, social status was created my man, remember that, to God we are all the same.

I believe that God has a purpose for each of us, regardless of our situation, if only we'd open our minds & hearts to it.
BTW, all of us, without exception, have known poverty or suffering in some form. You can have a net worth of billions with the ability to have anything that money can buy & still be spiritually bankrupt. You can live from paycheck to paycheck & be the richest person on earth. While we can't choose what circumstances we're born into, we can make the most of what God has given us.
I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for, but it's what I believe.

I think that a lot of Rich people are not happy! They have everything that they want when they want it, and yet they are still empty and miserable!! But the poor people who work for the little things they get and when they get it it feels so rewarding!! God put all kinds of people here on earth so we could learn from them! And I don't believe there is and after like for everyone. Those who died with Jesus in their heart and received HIM as their personal savior will raised from the dead when He comes and then we will be happy FREE from sin and unfairness for ever!! SO remember that there are rich people, and poor people who are we to say why does God do this??

The parents giving live to the child. Honestly, rich does not always equal happy. There are poor families oat there that are pretty happy. The rest is a clitch in nature. Some animals actually don't reproduce when there is a draught of famine, but our bodies adjusted to better living conditions or steady food supply.

I think you think too much. Worry less. Perhaps this is how atheism developes.... It isn't fair, but thats life. Remember this though the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Well, It is if your stuck in a 3rd world country and your looking at the developed nations of the world. I don't think about those things anymore. I have enough of my own personal things to worry about. Call me selfish thats just the way I feel. I have a high stress/worry level. And I worry about those things, and environmental issues. So I avoid the thought process... But a thought provoking question.

Reincarnation is a spiritual fact. It said in Malachi the last
chapter that Elijah would live again. And none other than Jesus
Christ said he already did as John the Baptist. The different
Bible versions can confuse, but that's what it says. (Matthew).
When you consider we have all lived as rich people who didn't
share. Murderous soldiers, suffering from the bloodlust created by self-preservation. Then nothing that happens to anybody is unjust.
Like my boy said in the movie Daredevil. "Ain't nobody
innocent."

It's just the way things are..it also depends on what you think true happiness is. Does it lie in money for you, riches? My happiness is in Jesus..I trust in Him, and all the rest will follow, in His time.

And where did you get the thing about some getting to live in Heaven twice.? After this life, there is heaven and there is hell..you decide where you will go..you don't get to do it again, and again..only one time...so I guess we'd better get it right the first time.

Luck of the draw. Even though I was born in America I started out living in poverty pain and suffering. Now I am comfortable, not in pain or suffering any longer due to my own efforts.

If people are motivated enough they change their lives for the better. But many find it easier to blame someone else for their situation.
