Approval of the fiancee visa depends on the answers of the applicant and the fiancee proving their relationship. The issuance of the visa is reasonable time as long as the applicant's credential and the fiancee was deemed qualified.

I would recommend NOLO's Marriage and Fiancee Visa book. Answers alot of questions in plain english (also has alot of advice for if she is denied after the interview). I used it to get my husband in the country. It took awhile for all of the back and forth to be done, but I was prepared for it because of that book. It's usually 6 months, but any problems (length of courtship, location of fiancee right now, etc.) can delay it for up to 3 years.

i'm doing this precise element at present immediately. we are doing "Petition to my Fiance" and he's actual going to the interview the following day. He did the clinical exam immediately and it took all morning to do, so he could do the interview precise the following morning. We all started doing this June 2006 and we were given approved of the I-129F in November 2006, when we were given apporved, they despatched us this packet with an 'open appointment' in ciudad juarez, mexico. (my fiance is actual from mexico, so idk if its the very similar, yet they could be very resembling what we are doing) once he is going to the interview, the representative will both approve or deny him the ok-a million Visa. The ok-a million Visa enables u to holiday into the U.S. one time, then you truthfully get married, u have ninety days to get married and then deliver them the documents and interior of 60 days, he will receive his drivers license and soc. safe practices card. Then im not particular what takes position after that, the interview is my in ordinary words worry, im scared he may get denied, yet anybody is telling him he has each little thing and he could be fantastic, yet you in no way understand what's going to ensue. i'd not get married, i heard that it really is a lot extra expensive and it takes about 3 years to get each little thing. We were going to easily get married till we got here across out what we may ought to flow through. Petition to my fiance is a lot extra accessible in case you do it wisely and far more low-priced! swifter too! We all started June 2006 and my fiance will be in a position to go back to the U.S. (if he's approved) July 2007. it might were in November, yet we had to maintain money for the holiday and all the different expenses we had to pay for. So it probably would have taken us 7 or 8 months really than a year, we purely had to maintain up money. i wish this data. helped and once you've anymore questions, dont hesitate to ask cuz i'm dealing with this very similar element at present! good success you and your spouse to be =)

that's faster, 3-6 months is the time line to get approved and have her in the US. Tell him Congratulations!!! (k1 visa)
We were thinking of doing that too, but we prefer to get married here in the Philippines. It's much better here if you want best venues to have the wedding... (k3 visa)

it will take months. i mean it takes forever just to get a visitors visa. but im not sure about the questions, i only no the visitors visa questions. my cousin just came from the phils too, and it was super difficult to get the visa. they will just ask questions that make sure that she is really marrying the guy. make sure that they know questions about each other, like the obvious ones (how does he/she like their coffee? their birthday?) and the stranger ones (how many classes did they take in college? who was their favorite professor and how old was that professor?)
