An allergist can do a prick test which does the basics. (Don't be scared, the pricks don't hurt and don't penetrate very far down at all--less than a prick of a finger. You don't bleed.) These consist mostly of pollen, mold, hayfever, pets, etc. They can test some foods but most of the time you just don't know until you try it. If your family is tested as well, you begin to learn more about yourself. (My whole family is allergic to pollen. My mother is allergic to strawberries and I soon found out that I was too.) My allergist knows what to search for most of the time just by knowing what my other family members react to. However, you can develop an allergy. My sister developed an allergy to mold from working at a doughnut shop.

Well if you are allergic to something in the environment (trees/grass/ragweed/mold/dust) you will be stuffed up with runny eyes and you could even have a hard time breathing and wheeze (asthma) and this is very serious.
If you have allergies to foods you could even die. You would know if you're allergic to something as you would break out in hives or a rash and you could have a hard time breathing in which case you need to call 911.
An allergist can do tests on you usually puts a bunch of pinpricks on your back and drops on them (of stuff you might be allergic to) and whatever welts up is what you're allergic too.
You could also be allergic to medication...you would know as you would get itchy, red eyes, hives, rash...in which case stop taking it immediately.
Take an ANTIHISTAMINE for any of the above immediately (always have this handy with you at home) and get yourself seen by a doctor prompto if you have any of the serious ones I mentioned above.

You could go to a Allergy Specalist and he can run some test on you to see what all you are allergic to. I am allergic to the usual dust, pollen, and mold, many flowers, perfumes, some cleaning supplies, etc., and with all those I just sneeze, eyes run water and it would appear that I have a cold. Also I have a bad allergy to Shellfish my tongue starts tingling and then my airway starts closing. I am allergic to Latex also. As in gloves and bandaids. I turn red and will itch. Hope this helps.

oh snap. you'll probably have to get a scratch test from an allergist - don't worry, it doesn't hurt, it will just be annoying for about a half hour. but you'll sure as hell know what you're allergic too when all those little bumps on your arms start itching like crazy.

There are many symptoms of allergic reactions. Go to (http://www.webmd.com/content/pages/10/1625_50533) and you will find lots of information about allergies in general. You can go see an allergist to be tested for things that most commonly cause allergies, and get advice and help in treating your allergies.

Go to an allergist and have them stab you with some needles, then you will know what you are allergic to.
(Haha, that's a really brief summary of how it goes. But just do it.)

go to the allergy doc and get a skin prick test...it's much more accurate than a blood test believe it or not.
