Just stop, ......be nasty, edgy, bitchy, mean, hungry, angry, and all the other things one feels while going through with drawl symptoms. Keep in mind, that's what your doing, you are going through with drawl, detox and it feels bad. It does end... and on the other side is a longer, better, cleaner, cheaper, easier, life. Go for it, what one person can do, another can do.
Also I will tell you secret in case you don't know..I know this because years ago I worked in the tobacco industry....chemicals are sprayed on your tobacco after it is prepared for rolling to make the cigarettes milder and to keep you from coughing. as well as keep you addicted to the nicotine. When you quit you FEEL bad because you are also coming off those chemicals and the real you is feeling the effects of the tar that you have been breathing in.

No, you just have to do it. Drink lots of water. It helps to flush out the toxins faster and stay away from coffee or whatever you associate with having a cigarette with for the first week or two...cut straws into cigarette lengths and play with those to give your hand something to do.

You just have to have willpower. You can do it. I quit because my daughter had so many allergies even though we didn't smoke in the house the doctor said the stuff on our clothes was enough to send her into asthma attacks...so I did it for her even if it killed me...but it didn't. Just do it and don't look back. It's only hard for a few weeks then it starts to get better. The day will come when it's not the first thing you think of or the last in your day too!

And STAY AWAY from other smokers...I could never stand to be around smokers after that....TG there is no smoking anywhere public and the only places people can is outdoors...I refused to go to anywhere that people smoked once I quit....it really does change you....for the better too.

I quit smokin about 5 years ago which I was at 2 packs a day. I had told myself about half way through the carton I was going to quit so I did. The first week was the toughest...the only thing I can share is what worked for me. I chewed big red gum and chewed on straws that were cut the same length as my cigs were. What helped me was having something in my hand while I was quitting. And drink water everytime you feel the urge. The first week was hell but it got easier. You just have to make your mind up. Just take it day by day and before you know it you'll be a non smoker. GOOD LUCK!!!

The only way to quit smoking is you have to really want to quit.
I mean really really want to quit.
If you don't want to quit then you never will.
If you are really up to it, then the best method would be Smoke Away.
With Smoke Away, if you smoke a cigarette, it doesn't have any effect on you. Some how the medication keeps the nicotine from going through your system...
It works really well.
If you can make it past the 3rd day, then you have it licked.
But don't let your guard down.

I have tried everything under the sun except for hypnosis. Many of my friends say it works. I say, You will quit when you want to. No one quits when they dont want to. I guess that is why I haven't quit yet. I dropped it for a while cuz my boss said to replace the habit. So I started drinking instead. Boss doesnt like us drinking in the truck so Now I smoke again. (I'm kidding of course) I havent quit because I am afraid I would get stressed out and run you guys over in your cars with my 18 wheeler if I did.

I tried them all. Cold turkey, patch, gum, Wellbutrin and hypnosis. The only thing that worked for me was acupuncture. The key is you really have to want to quit for yourself.

I think the only thing that will truly work is some really strong WILL POWER ....
I hope you can do it ...I wish I had the will power to do it

all those other things ..the patch, pill, gum...etc ..are all just money makers ...will power is free

I think the best thing is to get into a clinical research study for smokers. The doctors for these studies are experts. You will receive the latest treatments and they will even pay you! I often see these studies on Craigslist.com Click on the city nearest you and then do searches for "studies" in the following categories: community, jobs, and gigs. You can also find studies on www.centerwatch.com

Make sure everyone around you goes to great lengths to help you quit. I managed to quit with support from my dormatory (they posted pictures, with my conesnt, that if I am seen smoking I am to be reported, and each infraction costs me a few dollars), my family (cousins whom I was going to visit, and loved, told me I couldn't smoke on their premisis in the hopes of getting me to quit), and my friends (who ribbed me constantly about it).

nicotine, like heroin have the same addicting impact on your brain and body. realize that, and stop NOW. do sports instead if you need something. after years, you ll see, how you dislike smoke. have discipline in that. forget about all other ideas, its the only successful way.
