Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.
Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”
They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.
Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.
All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."
By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

I NEVER WANT RELIGION TO TAKE CONTROL OF THIS GOVERNMENT!
Historically, when religion ruled a country, oppression and discrimination was the normal.
The forefathers of Americas' constitution understood that and made provisions to prevent it from happening again
.
But, I fear the day will soon come when there will be changes made that echo conditions such as existed during the reign of church power.
Oh, it won't be that obvious though because there are too many people watching out for that.
NO, it will come as........... a national emergency, or as a means of conserving energy, or to help rid America of crime, some "good cause" like that.
But it is coming and I hope when it does you will remember someone warned you.
Why? Because the bible at the very base of Christianity tells me it is wrong to do so.

I'd never put up with it. They'd end up burning me at the stake. Of course this would make me a martyr and the non-believers would rise up in my name and crush the evil Christian overlords. Then, everyone would live happily ever after :)
-Jesus Freak (above) hasn't done his homework or he was out sick that day. Christians in positions of authority have a long and brutal history of slaughtering non-believers. Let's start with Manifest Destiny, the witch trials, The Star Chamber Court, The Crusades, Cortes and the Aztecs, and the Spanish Inquisition to name only a few.
Jesus Freak, the truth cannot be ingnored simply because you'd rather not believe it.

For one, the bible states God is a loving god. Yet, so many believers practice hate. I follow God b/c he is good, not evil. I don't follow him b/c someone has taught me if I am not for christianity, I am against them (the only way to God). Concluding, I am against God. Therefore, I am scared to question anything a teacher of Christianity or a person of Christianity is telling me. Or, any other religion for that matter. Jesus stated the only way to God is through him, b/c there were a lot of people following the doctrines of a crucifying and false church at that time. His point was I am God's son; I teach from the heart of God not from the hand of man. Follow me and you shall learn the truth not the lies of the church. I don't want to lead anyone the wrong way. But, a lot of times I have witnessed a preacher misinterpret a phrase from the bible. For instance, the debate about technology. A lot of Christians are against technology, but utilize the latest products. There not in the woods hunting for their food and living in caves. Also, one preacher mistakenly stated a barcode was 666 in binary when it actually was 555. Another time was about tiding. The bible phrase was saying about giving to people less fortunate than oneself. However, the preacher only referenced the part about giving. She added, giving to the church. I know in my heart a being of greater good exists and it triumphs over evil. If I don't believe this, then killing children and so forth aren't wrong. Anti-christ will proclaim to be of God, but it is the way he treats people that will give him away. By proclaiming to be God, he can win souls that will perform evil acts on his behalf. Just b/c you proclaim his name and memorize scriptures doesn't mean deep in your heart you love god. You are trying to be saved from suffering. I'm not criticizing any one. I want people to learn the true essence of God, which I have not fully learned. I'm seeking his will by praying for some light in the darkness. I realize some of my beliefs may be wrong. That's why I'm still here on earth. I'm learning. I'm seeking. How are you seeking God if you already know everything? Also, God gave us a brain for a reason so we won't be fooled by the devil. If I want something from you will I show up as the wolf. No, I will show up in sheeps clothing.

I would move out of America since I'm a non believer that wouldn't be right against my opinions on how life began and how its going to end and where your going to end up. But that's never going to happen sometimes I think that will happen with all the Christians in America...sadly there are so many no offense to the ones that are normal and kind acting.

I would be on a plane within hours and move to Canada. Or possibly the U.K. - since Canada is so close the U.S. and would probably eventually get attacked for its "sinful liberalism".
But I see the U.S. going this direction anyway, especially with the Bush administration, and it's scaring the **** out of me.

They've almost completely succeeded in doing that. I whole-heartedly believe this is exactly what's going to happen in 2008, and it will lead to civil war. It will be extremely bad. We've already started the crusades, we may as well start preparing for the escalation in a few years.

If that ever happens, I will do everything in my power to take out the dictator, by all means necessary.
And that's coming from someone who believes that violence should be used only as a means of last resort.
