nothing works unless you have naturally straight hair. try putting it in a pony tail and then you only have to iron out one kink in the morning ~~~

no, don't add gel or anything. Usually, your hair will stay relatively straight when you sleep, maybe even flatten out a bit more unless you move around a LOT when you sleep. In the morning, have the straightener ready to do some touch ups in the places that need it, and that's all. You'll always need to touch up if you've slept on it.

I used to have 13 inches of hair, and I never straightened it. It was wavy, but it looked awesome that way, so i left it alone. Then I got tired of it and I buzzed it all off. The end!

Straighten it in the morning, but if you don't have time sleep on your stomache. Then the hair lays on your back and doe't really get affected.

Keep it off your neck at night so it doesn't get damp and sweaty. I clip mine up. Apply a little straightening serum the next day to smooth it, brush it and you're good to go!

If you have the money get Thermally Reconditioning. Expensive but really worth it my parents paid for me to get it done a few weeks before my wedding and my hair was great until my roots started growing in. It makes your hair feel soft and shiny. Does not dry out your hair like when you get it relaxed.

you could try wearing a winter hat, like a beanie that's tight. thats what i do. also they make straightening gels (which don't always work) but you put them in when you're drying your hair...
