How do I become a bmx rider?

What is street? is there a freestyle? what is flatland? describe them.

Train Hard, Ride Hard.

Street has many meanings, Although the most popular version is just getting rad and ripping up everything you see in your path in a city setting. Tricks off benches, Sliding down handrails on your pegs, Wallrides by coasting along a wall and pulling your tires up on a an angle and riding up a wall slightly. Step jumps by riding and jumping down steps trying to clear them all.

Freestyle is anything you throw into the mix weather in the air as a Freestyle Air trick or when riding down the street and you tap your brakes to pull off a cool rolling trick into the funky chicken, where you whip your handlebars and front end up and lift your leg over the headtube, bouncing on one tire and spinning the handelbars.
Flatland to me would be if you wanted to ride down the street again to then whip your bike into another trick from the funky chicken you have just done. Flatland is basically considered Freestyle or at least was back in the oldschool days. LIke a squeaker, where you bring the back end of your bike in the air and tap the brakes making your bike roll on just the front wheel ina circle. That would be considered a Freestyle Flatland.

Street- Riding in the streets and tearing up anything you can find

Park- Skate park riding

Dirt jumping (trails)- Jumps built in the dirt somewhere used mainly for doing tricks.

Racing- Its like racing a bmx bike around a minurature motocross track.
