I say look around you. This quality is definitely NOT exclusive to the upper crust, of which I'm unfortunately not a part of. :( There are many many people around unashamedly freeloading off other people. They let others give them money, buy/make their food, do their laundry. Even though it's not technically an master/servant thing, that's what it amounts to. It happens every day. At least when the rich do it, they often pay for it!

I do know what you mean though. I remember an interview Christina Aguelera did on Letterman when years ago, when she was stunned the bellboy at a hotel didn't know her and she got mad. It's total ego for some of them. They assume at that status, and what they put up with from us (the fans) or the supposed hassles of having money for the unfamous, that they deserve the star treatment.

I'll relate a story.

We have a NASCAR Daytona 500 winner in our hometown. He is the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet & he'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. But he called in an order to a local pizza place, then picked up his order & was going to walk out without paying. The owner stoped him & made it real plain that he either paid or she was going to call the law. So Mr Daytona 500 paid up. (I personally don't think he was intentionally doing it-he likely got to talking to some body & just forgot to pay. He is not the big-headed type.)

If you don't cater to people who do that kind of crap, they don't do it. If a rich person asks you to do something out of line, don't do it. It's that simple. People treat you the way you allow them to treat you. Don't blame every one else because some body sh*t on you-learn how to not let it happen again.

Because they're rich and money talks. It's as simple as that. As long as there are people they can buy then they'll get there way. If suddenly all the lower-class took a stand they wouldn't know what to do!

The same reason you get all willie knees when a hot chick winks at you. You think you are going to get something for free.

One of the things that money buys you is time. You pay the little people to do your **** work, so that you can focus on the important stuff.

Me, I'm broke, but that's my take on it.

they like to take pride in not being able to do ordinary tasks. Culture tells them that they should not do certain things. It's kind of a "pride" in being helpless.

Unfortunately slavery still exists in America, just now it has nothing to do with skin color, now it's economic slavery. We're all their servants. Check out my question about Wal-Mart

Because they can afford to pay someone to do things the things the lower classes do for themselves.

Because they can afford it. YOU can't afford NOT to kiss their azz, because your livelihood depends on it. Don't bite the hand that feeds you...
