and windows xp professional? does media center have IIS capabilities? I want to change my os if media center is better than professional tnx and if possible include pros and cons if i choose media center edition

Media Center is XP Home NOT XP PRO.
It is not safe to use IIS since this version has few security protocols.
Media center lets you have a DVR but you can get free software for XP Pro and a TV Tuner card and do the same thing.
Media Center is XP Home with a few extra programs for media usage. XP Pro can do the same thing with some free software and updates.
Professional is the best version of Windows - (compared to the other train wrecks)
