Initial due date for a 2006 Form 1040 is April 16, 2007 (the 15th falls on a Sunday). With an extension (File Form 4868) the due date becomes October 15, 2007. However, even with an extension of time to file, there is no extension of time to pay the tax due, if any. Any balance due existing as of April 16th will accumulate penalties and interest until paid.

Do you mean your tax return for what you earned during 2006? If so, tax returns are due April 15 unless the 15th falls on a holiday or a Sunday or a Saturday.
