im a fresman and i need general advice on how to make it trough my freshman year

orly_l33t is clearly a male, and a fairly ignorant one at that. I'm a high school teacher. Take your pick.
Get to know your teachers. Even the weird ones will back you up. Join clubs, activities, sports, anything your interested in. High school students who are active and involved stand a far better chance of being academically and socially successful then those who don't. I did a Master's thesis on this, so please trust me on this one.
Yes, use a condom if you are sexually active. Don't hang with the druggies and the boozers and expect a good outcome. But do have friends with lots of different groups. DO NOT SMOKE POT!!! You will do so much damage to yourself at your age! Have fun! Smile, relax, be witty, and be assertive at the same time. Speak out in class, if you feel comfortable doing so. Ask questions! Know your school's college resources! Introduce youself to the principal (without the "cool" people seeing you, of course). Be known and active in your community, you'll do great! Good luck! :-)

First thing you need to do ... dont try to fit in so much .. think about what you are going to wear? make sure you figure out the social fabric of your high school ... it is better to be a loner than to hang out with fags or geeks.... be prepared to loose your middle school friends...every one you know will change dramatically... look out for yourself first and foremost..Your freshmen ... keep your eyes open and shut your mouth.. a lot of freshmen act like they are the **** ... if you do that you will get a beat down in the long run... keep a low profile until you figure everything out.. be careful who you associate with..
when it comes to grades... study at least 3 hours a day at first and then see if you can lower the time. dont party too much at first. you can party your junior and senior year. start working out as much as you can right now if you do , you wont get pushed around..
dont be nervous ... dont make it so obvious that you are a freshmen for example carrying a school map around.. dont carry a huge backpack all the time... keep your books in your locker..
dont take classes such as speech that are filled with seniors and juniors ... and last but not least, make sure you dont get labeled as a freshmen so once again dont talk too much it s a very freshmen common kind of a mistake... keep a low profile at first...especially as a freshmen.... good luck

To make the best out of high school... get involved. Try out for a sport or join a club or two. If you don't, you'll just go to school and come home every day... I joined my water polo team and had a blast. You meet new people and get to travel to different schools to check out their facilities. Get involved and you will enjoy school. Trust me!

All you need to worry about what your classes are and how are you going to pass believe high school is a fun experience but you have to pass your classes and be serious about school or you will regret it later in life

pay attention in the actual class portion join teams and clubs, be safe man best four years of your life dont want to make then 2 cause of sumthing stupid and most important be yourself have fun and enjoy these years while they last

first off don't expect to kick it wit ur old friends. most likely you'll grew apart. second don't be neverous or else very one will noe ur scared. and lastly dont get caught in all the drama.
