project was reportedly cancelled although the federal government has never acknowledged its existence to begin with
was alleged to be a delta winged, mach 6+ recon plane by lockheed ... photographs taken in southern california show the famous "donuts on a rope" contrail of an aircraft at very high altitude; this type of contrail is attributed to a new type of jet engine called a pulse detonation wave engine; some people allege they have heard the Aurora's engines producing pulses at 200 megahertz deep within the Lockheed Skunk Works near Burbank.
seismologists in southern california also note several incidents of a signature that could have only been caused by a sonic boom from an aircraft flying over socal in excess of mach 5, this was believed to have been the aurora

Lockheed's replacement for the SR 71. Has delta shape, though rather slim (not too much un-like the Blackbird) and uses a modified scram jet system that at altitudes above 100k ft. will permit speeds in the mach 6 to 7 area. Does it really exist or is this all rummer? What is Lockheed doing in S.Akron at the old Goodyear Air Craft locations and in the Air Dock??? After all, it is "Janes" that came up with the name Aurora, not Lockheed. Janes isn't in the habit of naming a bird that doesn't fly.

Yep, it's an extremely high speed, high flying recon aircraft. Nobody's seen it yet so there's not much proof, but that's the poop on it.
