I'm not talking about people who want to learn about Islam, I'm talking to those who try to give Islam a bad reputation

You are right. Education is the key to make people understand the danger that islam is to the rest of humanity. Read the koran to know what a fascist religion it is, read the satanic verses to know the merciful and compassionate treatment they have for non-believers. Burn the koran, bible and torah, and become a humanist.

Well, people should educate themselves about it before they pre-judge or discriminate. But I hate to point out the obvious, by asking a question about Islam, they are trying to educate themselves about it!! Like I have not read the Quran, yet I want to find other ways to learn about other religions than to have to read their holy books. Reading the Bible was tedious enough! Be understanding and help others to understand rather than get agitated about it. Good luck. By the way, there is some "saying" about there being no such thing as a stupid question, but I do agree with you that there are dumb questions. But it is best to ask than go your life being ignorant, even if you sound ignorant, stupid, and embarrass yourself in the process.

I think you have already answered your own question. They ask "stupid" questions because they are not really asking a question at all. They are trying to highlight some aspect of the Islamic religion and/or it's prophet that they think is reprehensible and since they are supposed to be asking a question when they make a post they put their personal commentary on Islam in the form of a question.

It happens in many of the "questions" about Christianity too.

maybe they are trying to educate themselves by asking what you consider a stupid question. Don't be so narrow minded, I'm sure sometime in your life you have asked a question that another person might have thought as stupid. The best way to learn about anything is by asking and deciding between the different comments you get.

Salam :) i'm a Muslim teenager dwelling in Canada. I placed on hijab alhamdullilah and it quite is for the main section wide-unfold suitable right here on concern that i stay in a brilliant city with a brilliant Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots in college even with the reality that who ask stuff like "yo have been given a bomb decrease than there hahaha". even with the shown fact that the toughest section is being diverse out of your buddies. Being a Muslim, activities, alcohol dating boys donning revealing clothing etc is haram, and on a matching time as i do no longer choose for to try this as nicely, it quite is a splash awkward to could desire to describe why i do no longer do it to those that evaluate it purely an element to being a youthful man or woman and its user-friendly to them. Muslims dwelling in Muslim international places rather have it much less stressful whilst it involves installation in. And with nutrition it quite is a splash no longer user-friendly yet I continually attempt to verify the label if i'm unclear of the climate. yet i does not wanna be diverse faith no count how complicated it gets and how diverse i've got have been given self assurance from each and every man or woman else, i'm happy to be Muslim :)

A person asks questions to better educate themselves on a certain subject. Did you mean why dont people educate themselves before making a stupid comment? ?

I understood nothing about Islam until I talked with someone on IM about it. Now, I understand it more. I have to agree with you, we should ask questions first and then give our opinion.

Isn't asking questions an attempt to learn (also know as educating themselves)?

Because it's so much easier to not open a book and pretend you know things than to actually read a book. Same goes for all religions that are written about on here.
