They felt okay until I rinsed with salt water yesterday, now the side of my face is swollen and the bottom hurts really bad under my jaw area. Is this normal or do I have a dry socket. Please only real answers, not stupid ones.

Sounds like a dry socket. I had four wisdom teeth pulled and the same thing happened to me, they are very painful. Go to the dentist as soon as you can, you might have some infection too since there is swelling involved.

I'm not a dentist, but I think you have dry socket. Call your dentist tomorrow for a follow up appointment to make sure its not an infection.

Your best bet is contact your Dentist, for your info....does sound like infection or dry socket,if there is a blood clot there it would sounds more like infection to me,but make the call.

You might have an infection, or maybe it's just normal post-op pain. Contact your dentist!

sounds like you have an infection going on and I would return to the DDS and let him look at it. he can put you on an antibiotic and knock it out.

ummm, my dad had his wisdom tooth out and it was sore after, the dentist told him to buy clove oil from the drug store and rub on it when it gets sore... he said that it really helped him.

Why is it that when you ask a serious question; you get no answers?
