Do NOT shave it. This will cause the hair to grow back faster, thicker and way more noticable! Have it waxed... My best friend is a cosmetoligist so trust me here and put down that razor!

Your hair will not grow back a different color if you shave it. Most of the women in my family have had hair on their upper lips. If you have it waxed, over time that will stimulate more hair growth. The ONLY permanent hair removal technique is electrolysis. It's painful on the upper lip, but the electrologist can put an ointment on your skin first to numb the pain. Also, an hour before your appointment you should take ibuprofen for the pain. The skin will be tender and red or pink for about an hour after the electrolysis, but you can put make-up over it to cover the redness. Between appointments, and before you see the electrologist, you can shave it. No one will know that you shave it. (But they will know if you have a mustache!) Use a pretty-smelling soap. I used to shave my upper lip hair until the electrolysis got rid of it. The hair has to be grown out for at least 3 days or so before the electrologist can treat it, but you should make an appointment with an electrologist for a consultation first anyway, to find out what electrolysis is all about and ask any questions. If you bleach the hair, you'll just have a lighter blond mustache. Yes, people notice when women have mustaches, blond, brown, or any color. Electrolysis is a bit pricey, but it will eventually remove your hair PERMANENTLY! It's worth the investment. And MANY women have the same problem, it's just that people rarely admit it or talk about it.

i know this is going against what everyone else has said, but, my hair is blonde as well and is very much noticable... i first started bleaching, it didn't matter, blonde is blonde and you still see it... then i used "magic shave" and it worked like a charm, it was great, but, after a while it kinda irritated my skin, so, i started shaving the hair and it really works well, it doesn't grow back any faster than anything else.. i did try waxing it and it worked no better than shaving... now , my daughter bought a 3 in one electric personal hair shaver, which runs off a battery, it shaves the hair gently with no cuts and will even cut nose hairs as well, it also will do bikini hair, it was about $10.00 and my daughter uses one too. when i started shaving the hair has never grown back darker, or too fast, i just shave a couple times a week whether i see hair or not, and it works well for me.. good luck honey...

If it's blonde, I don't understand how people can really see it unless it's really long hair. I would say wax it. I have blonde upper lip hair as well, but am still self-conscious about it. I just wax it using Veet wax strips and it works quite well. It does not grow back black either, so no need to worry about that. Hope that helps.

Whatever you do DO NOT SHAVE IT! waxing helps because it only removes some of the hair and so much will not grow back and it will still look good. you could always could use nair.which removes it totally, or here try this
use naire on wherever areas u feeel you need
After a couple weeks if it starts to grow back black, bleach it. Then when it gets long enuff again, use nair.

Don't shave, it will grow in thick. I would leave it alone if it's blonde, but if it really bothers you wax it. Years ago an Equadorian friend convinced me to put nair on my blonde stash, and I've been doing it ever since, but now it's short, stubby black hairs. Leave it alone! I wish I did.

Abosolutely not! What is there to see? Plus it'll come in darker and thicker....All waxing will do is make the hair grow back in slower with same results as shaving. Good Luck!!!!

Definitely do not shave it. It will be more noticeable when it grows in. You have to get it waxed. Go to a salon to have them do it. You'll have to keep up with it about every three to four weeks.
