If there's noone around, I usually say "Bless Me" and run to find someone who can bless me, but I fear my soul did not come back in the other day. Am I going to go to Hell for now not having a soul? I believe in God and have asked for his forgiveness, but is it hopeless??

Can anyone tell me the time limit for getting someone to bless you before you lose your soul permanently???? I've heard it's between 17 and 18 minutes, but I'm not sure. I definitely went over that last Wednesday. GOD FORGIVE ME!!!!

THIS IS A SERIOUS QUESTION. I'M SO UPSET THAT I MIGHT GO TO HELL FOR SNEEZING AND LOSING MY SOUL.

Does anyone know what I can do? Do I need to see an exorcist? Can someone refer me to one?

HELP MY SOUL!! I'm so scared!!

I have read the bible, and am not religious. I believe in God, but religion, not God, has made you have these fears. God is a God of Love I am told, yet most religious leaders preach the wrath of God. There is no section in the Bible pertaining to sneezing and losing your soul. Someone has told you this, maybe a religious fanatic or someone who likes to control you with fear. Most Religions like to control their "followers" through fear. You are a typical example of the way Religions brainwash people. How on earth could you lose your soul if you sneeze. People all over the world who do not believe in God sneeze all the time, yet they still have an active brain and can feel all sorts of emotions. If these people didnt have a soul, they would be mindless idiots, incapable of thinking, incapable of feeling love or hurt or any kind of human emotion. Whoever told you that sneezing causes you to lose your soul if you are not blessed is absolutely crazy. And why on earth would you ask to be blessed when you sneeze by a mere mortal human being. I cant bless anyone...I am like you, flesh and blood....I would feel embarrassed if you came up to me in the street after sneezing asking me to bless you. I havent got the power to bless anyone in the Christian sense. You need to get a mind of your own and stop following blindly someone who claims they know God....I think God would be very angry at all the wrong information being passed around by religious fanatics. Its these kind of people that turn people off God....No-one should be controlled through fear whether it be in the spiritual sense or physical sense. Jesus never used threats to get his own way...he spoke quietly, in a loving way....he wanted people to follow him through love, not fear. You should not be so afraid and start seeing God in a loving way....there is no way sneezing could cause anyone to lose their soul. Sneezing can break a rib, but thats about the worst that can happen. Be happy in your faith, dont be so afraid. God gave us free will which means he gave us a logical brain to work out what is acceptable to us. You too have a logical mind if you stop following and listening to others blindly. You have to see the lack of logic sneezing and losing your soul has. There is a perfectly good reason why we all sneeze, and it has to do with your body, not your soul.

long ago, people believed that the soul left the body when you would sneeze so they thought that if you say bless you it would make the soul return to the body. We have come along way from those days. There is nothing in the bible that I personally have come across that says anything about sneezing will condemn you to hell. Heck that is the least of our problems in life, sin is apart of us everyday, that is why Jesus died for us, I don't think Jesus died because we sneeze.

saying God Bless You after a sneeze has nothing to do with the damnation of your eternal soul silly.

sneezing was generally thought of as a sign of great personal danger. from way back to the Athenian plague, parasees thinking it was an evil spirit, Hebrews belief that it show a man was near death, and on and on. Pope Gregory the Great was actually credited with the saying "God bless you" when someone sneezed during his reign in the Roman empire because of the plague!

When you are alone and no other person is around and you sneeze.. you're not suppose to
bless yourself.. You bless the spirit that is with you! You Say: Blessed Art God.
If you bless your self you are acting as if God
don't exist.. that's exactly what atheists do. I know a few of them!

I'm probably 1273 "God Bless Yous" behind on sneezes, and my soul is on a set road to "hell". For some reason, nobody ever "blesses" my sneezes - I think they sound more like coughs.

I really doubt your sincerity, your question nor your rhetoric shows that you are any thing close to being sincere. You are acting quite childish, immature and plain ignorant of what the saying really implies. You even ask God to forgive, but in the process you mock God, instead of being genuinely concerned in your attitudes that show a horrendous lack of respect for God.

Why should anyone have to say bless you when you sneeze! This has nothing to do with God Almighty and God will not be mocked my friend so you better watch yourself!

Dude there are better things to receive blessings from God than to worry about your boogers playing tricks in your nostril.
