I recently just broke up with her......2 days ago...with me telling her that I couldnt be with her anymore. I tried so hard to help her on her serious anger management, but she seemed that she would keep getting back to her old stuff again....I dont know why I feel so bad for letting her go....its painful....but I did my best....and I still feel awful for doing so? was I rash?

I don't think you were. I know it's hurting you to let her go, but dealing with someone who has an anger problem is a hard road. I had a relationship like that and it is emotionally taxing. I tried to help him and even tried to get him to go to church with me, but he just wouldn't budge. He acted like he hated the world and he snapped at me over nothing. Finally I had enough and ended it. Self survival is important too. You can love and care about a person all you want, but they have to love and care about themselves also. Your gf needs to want to get the help she needs. I am so sorry things didn't work out, but you did what you had to. Good luck and I wish you much happiness.

Well, you have to ask yourself a question - have you done everything that you could to help her. Then you have to figure out if she does not change would you want to continue being with her? Try to put pros and cons on a piece of paper and figure things out from a rational perspective - I know it is hard, but it may help you gain some clarity.
If you finally decide that you can not continue with her, then you should stop all contact and it will become easier with time.
Good luck

No! Tell her to take Anger Management Classes, and then maybe take her back. But you shouldn't have to take that abuse. Trust me plenty of woman would be happy to treat you right. Nice guys are hard to find. That is sweet that you tried to stick by her side, but you have to have a limit. She needs to help herself before you can help her. Do not blame yourself.
