The reason most people think they look bad in photos is that most people smile when having their photo taken. This makes people think they look funny. The problem is when you look at yourself in the mirror every morning you are not smiling. Most people never smile when they look at themselves in the mirror.This leads people to think they take bad photos and no one else does since your friends and family see you smiling all the time.So here is the solution to you getting a good photo of yourself; you need just study your face and all the different expressions in your mirror. Find the one you think makes you look best to you. Then when you are having your photo taken find a mirror to warm up till you get the look you like then let the photos session begin and I guarantee you will have a photo you like.

I'm assuming you want to take a quality picture of yourself.
Use a quality digital camera (5MP or higher) and use the timer setting. A good tripod would be benificial.
Start by setting up the shot by taking pictures of the area you will position yourself. Once you get the background centered the way you like, set the timer and take your place.

Take the pictures yourself with the self-timer... take TONS of pictures and delete the bad ones. You are sure to get a few good ones.

like ur gona take o pic of your self?? but if you are just get a friend to or get a digicam wit the handy thing so u casn twist the screen. but if ur not and want to get a really great pic go to a pictuer studio. good luck

buy a DIGITAL camera with timer...I OFTEN TAKE MY OWN PICTURES BECAUSE SOMETIMES I DRIVE MY KIDS CRAZY WITH SO MANY PHOTOS! LEARN HOW TO USE THE TIMER
