Yes, i have ran a 10k,
you just have to push your self, and slowly start off, and then just do a little more each day =)

Yes, I run one of them almost every weekend (probably about 20 a year)

You basically train for it like any other type of running event: slowly and progressively -- especially if you are new to running. This means slowly building up your weekly mileage until you can run 3.1 miles (5K) without stopping.

Well.. at least you know.. you have to train for it.. and that is done slowly with a mile at a time.. that is.. maybe a mile this morning and a mile this afternoon for about a week and then the following week, increase it to two miles, etc etc

You run a mile a day and work up from there....
