Greetings,

I know most resources will tell you that the 12 tribes of israel are split up by month. Yet acording to some it is not so. By the israel calender of then and ours now they split by Date by Date not month by Month. For example Naphtali cuts off near the end of Jan.

I am not 100% sure about all this though but im almost 95% sure. So I was looking for info on this! Anyone know or have some info or websites.

Thanks

Biblical months are from New Moon to New Moon. English got the word "month" from "moonth" = "moon", but the English haven't followed the lunar calendar recently. You still see a trace of the Biblical calendar in the fact that Sept = 7 in Latin and September is the month in which Yom Kippur falls (Leviticus 23 says it is to be observed in the 7th month). Likewise the Latin count continues: Oct = 8, Nov = 9, Dec = 10.

As the previous answer suggested there was a Hebrew Zodaic which reflected each of the tribes. But I don't know of anyone that really pays much attention to the 12 tribes and their relationship to the months all that much. The tribes will return when Messiah comes.

the 12 tribes are connected to the zodiac and from a separate angle the zodiac is related to the months, but i've never heard of the direct connection to months, especially not to solar months.
