Most vets will be able to have your dog cremated for you. You could probably bury him, but you need to check with you town on restrictions (and obviously your landlord if you rent). Believe it or not, there are companies that are just for cremating pets. You may be able to find one of them near you and go there directly. DON'T put him in the garbage...in most places that is illegal.

You need to make sure that it is legal to bury an animal in your yard before you do it. Funeral homes sometimes cremate them for you. You could call the local animal control officers and ask them if they can pick your dog up, but I will tell you that they usually dump dead animals at the land fills. Some animal shelters have a crematorium and they may cremate it for you. I am sorry about the loss of your animal.

First, let me say I am so sorry for the death of your dog!! I know how much this hurts you. I have been thru this many times over the years. If you own you home, I would bury it in the yard. If not, I would take it to the vet and have them dispose of it. You can also have it cremated and put the ashes where it loved to play. Some places also have pet cemeteries where you can bury them. Again, my condolences for your loss.

Tak him/her to the vet. The vet can cremate the body and if you wish, return ashes to you. I suppose you could also bury him/her in your yard, but check with your city/homeowners association first. Your local animal shelter/humane society/SPCA could also give you suggestions.

Drag him to the curb and call animal control to pick him up. The will or they will give you the number to dead animal pickup.
