If you were smart you would apply for Vista Beta Testing.
Each Vista has an internal ID (like the product key) and you cannot use it on more than 1 PC.

I have a computer with an AMD 64 dual core hard drive. Everytime I tried Vista Beta, I had to erase my entire computer and re-install Windows XP Home. From my experience, I don't recommend it for any reason. But, that's only me. It's your choice.

Go ahead and get a BETA copy from MS. Its crap but you need to learn that yourself. I have BETA 1 and BETA 2 and the only improvements in the OS were cosmetic. By the way when you get the BETA 2 it will clearly state that it may be installed on up to ten computers with the product key you get.
