Try a strong decongestant. If that doesn't work, you may have an infection which is blocking eustathian tube. In that case see a doctor. This could all be caused by allergies and you may need to see an allergy doctor. It is the time of year for a lot of people.

Hold you nose with your fingers, and close your mouth and force air upward into the pharynx until you feel your eyeballs kind of bulging. If you go to the doctor, they will do the same thing, but with a machine that blows air. Oh yeah, and they will charge you much money.
Also you may want to visit the pharmacy and get the stuff to clean out earwax. Often, the symptoms of clogged ear canal are like this. Recently was on vacation with a friend who had this and we had the stuff to clean it out, and he got instant relief. He said it had been bothering him for a long time.

I would agree with the other poster to check and rule out ear infection. If it is not that, there is another possibility. It is not uncommon for people with neural hearing loss to feel like there ears are plugged all the time. Neural hearing loss can occur from listening to loud sounds like loud Ipods, rock concerts, lawn mowers and so on.

I don't know anything.....yawning is my best guess. I wish I knew something that worked better though. My ears get all pressured out at the worst times....like when I am singing and I can barely hear myself properly. It's horrible. Let me know if you do find anything....

You could have a middle ear infection. See a doctor if it does't clear up in a few days.
