In a professional golf tour setting, a player often pays their caddy a percentage of their winnings, which can be as high as 10%. The caddy also usually receives a salary, as the player may not be guaranteed to win money at every tournament the player enters.

Once upon a time a received a small base fee per round + 10% of the prize money was standard. Today most pro caddies ar on Salary + expenses and depending on performance of their Man they will ofter get a substantial bonus at the end of the year. It is not unusual for the better caddies to earn upwards of $200,000 p/a although a lot of caddies earn a whole lot less.
