Get a job. If you are a full time student and work a part-time job you should be able to get a simple credit card. If you have regular income they will give you a credit card! Then the credit monitoring agencies will look at how you use the card, do you pay it off every month? are you ever late with payments? You also build a credit history by how you pay your monthly bills. Do you rent? Do you always pay the rent on time? your utilities? These are all things that come up on your credit report. They are all part of the calculation for your credit score.

Get a credit card. Just one. No others. Many credit card companies will have credit card offers for young people that are just starting out and want to build their credit. Only buy what you can afford and pay on it each month. That way you'll start building your credit the right way. :)

Apply for a credit and only spend as much as you can afford to pay back each month.

From what I hear, buying appliances from Sears is a good way to build credit. If you don't live in your own house or apartment, have your parents buy appliances (such as dishwashers, refrigerators, etc.) under your name on a credit card.
