Anyone have any ideas to relieve the itching and annoyance of mosquito bites? We live in a very hot and humid place and the bugs are rampant, but when my daughter gets bit, the bite site immediatly swells up huge and is bright red and of course itches like crazy. Nothing helps. We've tried benedryl, and the cream form, all other anti itch creams don't work. Anyone know of any home remedies or anything else that actually works to relieve the symptoms...besides not getting bit!!

Put cold water and a band aid to stop scratching. It'll go away, so don't worry.

This truly works. They used this remedy on the state prisoners in TX for years when the inmates had to work outside before they decided it was unconstitutional to make the poor babies work.
Mix Adolf's meat tenderizer with Noxzema cream to create a grainy paste. It works on any kind of bug bite.

Calamine lotion works good and any spray containing diphenydramine (Benadryl) can help control the itching.

Wash the bite dry it and apply something like the above. If it shows redness swelling or pain see a doctor about possible infection.

I was gonna suggest Yak Anus fragrance to ward off the mosquitoes, but it looks as if you've already been bitten.

Try putting an ice pack on it. That's my suggestion.

Dermaplast. Works for bites, burns, and general boo-boos. That's what they gave me after I gave birth the first time. It's incredibly soothing.

Wet the area and sprinkle table salt on it. Then rub the salt over the area. Always works for me.

I always use IcyHot or rub some hot sauce on it. It makes it burn (not very bad) instead of itch.
