First of all be yourself, just better!! Smile at people you pass in the hallways, and say hello. You will be surprised at the positive responses you will get. Be friendly to the guys in your classes. Talk to them about what's going on in class. Being friendly will not freak them out. You would be surprised at how nervous the boys are to about talking with girls. Join a club or go out for a sport. There are lots of ways to meet new people. I wish you the best. Have fun, don't worry about what other people think. Enjoy being young! Go to the football games. Get involved, the rest will fall into place. Most of all...be yourself, smile, and be friendly. Good luck!!! Hey, I was shy in Jr and Sr high, and this advice worked for me!!

Just a little advice don't be try to be someone your not in short it will back fire. Also looks are a big thing for alot of guys so if your up to par with the cute girl, or hottie, and or dammit look at those you know what then your good to go. Next is to hang out with people that stand out and that people talk about them in a good way. Then if things goes well you should be some what popular around school, but good luck IF NOTHING ELSE JUST BE YOURSELF IT DOES NOT HURT, BESIDES WHY THE H E L L SHOULD YOU LISTEN TO OTHERS PEOPLE OPINION.

Decide on your own moral level and what you like and stick with it. Do not let the mood of the crowd move you, move the crowd. Do you like something specific? Make sure you are the best at what ever it is and you will find the kids that will like you and will not be pushed by "public opinion".
Look people in the eye and do not back down. It is a longer road to friendship but the friends you make will last.

You're talking to the same girl 3 years ago! Just be friendly when you approach them and just give a friendly "hi, how are you?" That will get the conversation started. The most important thing is to just be yourself and you'll do fine! Good luck and best wishes.

i personally believe all people change in some sort of way when they first enter high school, i was different when i first entered, just talk to a few of them, im sure some need a girl for advice sometimes, i needed advice from many of the girls i talk to, and nothing sexual or anything, emotional things and what not, so they may come up to you and talk, but see if you can find something in common with them

Hmm... first make some friends that are girls, you can consider this your base friendship. Learn to be more outgoing with them, then they will make guy friends, and you can get comfy talking to them, and just move up from there.
Hope this helps.

Relax. Be a little shy, that's you. Just be friendly and say hello to people. You'd be amazed how easily a conversation is started by just saying hello.
