Try going east on the 401 to Kingston, Ontario. Thats where I go. Right on the Lake, stay at the Holiday Inn on the waterfront (613)549-8400 all rooms have balconies and watch the ships come and go. Near the Thousand Islands, Old Fort Henry. Your right downtown and walking distances to many great restaurants. We enjoy the Keg. Its historical and beautiful.

Algonquin Park, either Killarney, Arrowhon Pines or Bartlett Lodge. On the edge of the park you have Deerhurst and Grandview in the Huntsville area and in Whitney there is the Couples Bear Trail. Book know because in that area weekends fill up years in advance.

I second the Kingston, vote.

For me Kingston is the desired vacation destination in Canada. It has a downtown area if you want the night life and find a quiet B&B if you prefer.

From Kingston if you feel you need to leave the area for a day trip and you have documentation, you can take the Ferry to Watertown, New York.

Have a great time.

per chance the first element you could do is ascertain precisely the position you're going. You look a touch imprecise about the position it really is. the in ordinary words vet college i understand of, or can locate, in Ontario, is at Guelph which isn't 3 hours north of Toronto as your submit implies. call shifting organizations in SF and ask about delivery the bins. Or call Fedex or UPS, in view that there are in ordinary words 5 bins. the motorized vehicle is extra complicated. There are organizations focusing on delivery automobiles. this is expensive. yet because the motorized vehicle will be in Canada for 2 years, you'll ought to get it licenced in Canada. which will be a large problem, because Canadian safe practices criteria are not unavoidably a similar as US one and the motorized vehicle will desire inspection and per chance adjustments. If this became me, i'd ignore taking the motorized vehicle and purchase or employ one there. you purchase automobile coverage in Ontario through going to an coverage agent and buying it from them. do not understand if the phone is transferable, probably is , yet in case you retain your US organization, you'll pay lengthy distance every time you're making a decision. extra constructive to get a plan in Canada once you arrive, it will be more low-priced to stay in Ontario than in SF, a minimum of housing could be more low-priced. foodstuff and gas will be slightly extra. examine with the college about clinical plans for school childrens, examine with even with insurer you've now about coverage for being overseas for that lengthy. Going back to the U. S. for clinical clinical care purely isn't sensible. What in case you ruin your arm and would't force there? Canadian plans do not cover dental, do not cover prescriptions, do not cover creative and prescient care, in ordinary words cover eye checks mainly circumstances, so that you pay money for those except you've inner most coverage. living in Ontario is surely not that diverse from living contained in the U. S. in a lot of recommendations, yet there'll be snow in wintry climate.

All are good, id recommend somewhere in Muskoka myself like Taboo, but the traffic might be busy that weekend. Realise that traffic would be busy heading to Niagara too.

Langdon Hall is in Guelph which is West, and might be the easiest to get to in terms of traffic volume.

I also recommend you to book now if its not already gone b/c that weekend will be booked fast!
