When it is humid and I am outside doing some kind of physical activity (from leisurely walking to running), my skin gets really itchy whereever my clothes (or purse or backpack or anything!) touch my skin. It doesn't matter where I am (near the water, at the park, on the sidewalk, etc.). Could this be heat rash? I don't see any bumps though...I'd like to avoid taking anti-histamines if possible (not a big fan of medication), but the itching is driving me nuts! Once I'm in a dryer place (i.e., not outside where it's humid), my skin will calm down and I won't be as itchy, though I do notice that I can still be a little itchy a few hours later. What is it and how do I prevent this?

Thanks!!

Probabaly heat rash. I got it on my neck earlier this year. Had to buy some cortisone cream. I didn't swallow pills. Also try powdering yourself with cornstarch.

it's probably a heat rash, i would reccommend trying to keep those places dry as sweat plays a big part in that. try dusting baby powder on it before you leave to keep it dry and for the itch you can by some hydrocortisone cream at any pharmacy.

It could also be something called "contact dermatitis" which is just irritation caused by something touching your skin.

I suffer from the same problem.... I dry off after my shower and powder liberally..... I use cornstarch since its natural and doesn't contain dyes and perfumes which can burn and make the problem worse. I think the technical term is contact dermatitis. Good luck :-)
