the bounce thing has been answered. typically a pitching wedge and gap wedge will have 6 to 8 degrees of bounce and the sand wedge will have 10 to 16 degrees of bounce. the higher the bounce the softer the sand has to be to work well. the lob wedge has from 3 to 8 most of the time. i had one made by ping that had no bounce on it. i liked it a lot. i wore it out. they higher the bounce the harder the club is to hit out of the fairway. there are other things. like a worn heel to help u lay the club open. some of the new clubs have bigger grooves to help keep the grass between the face of the club and the ball.

It is the number of degrees of the angle at the back of the wedge. a bounce is typically 4 to 10 degrees. It helps a club in the sand bounce through the sand rather than stick in it.

Bounce is a device on the bottom of high pitched wedges to help get through sand. The value of it is how much is added to the bottom of the wedge. It just looks like a bump (sort of).

It is the angle that is formed between the bottom of the club, when the leading edge rests on the ground, and the ground. The more the bounce the easier it is to play out of the sand and the less the bounce the easier it is to play out of the rough.
