Hi y'all! This past Thursday, it was that time that every parent dreads and I had to start teaching my daughter about the "birds and the bees." I started to teach her about the female genitalia system.

She wanted to see what a fully developed vagina looked like, so I showed her mine and let her touch and explore it, so that she would know what to expect.

As we were both exploring, I felt a large lump inside my left vulva which felt like a marble. Should I be concerned? Could this be cancerous do you think?

Wow, I sure hope not. You better have a doctor look at it. As far as the birds and the bees...you just never know when that's going to come up... I still have fond memories of my mother teaching me in the shower when I was 21. Ahhh, good times...

Lump aside for a second...I think you should be more concerned about the fact that you let your daughter explore your genitals with you. This is WAY inappropriate. You obviously have the Internet, why didn't you look on here for a medical diagram or something? To let an 11 year old girl look at your genitals is crossing the line from educational into pornographic and incestuous. If/when she gets curious about male genitalia are you going to let her explore your husbands penis?

As for the bump, go see an OB/GYN and have it checked out.

I hope to GOD that this is a joke question, written to get a rise out of people because if you are for real you need to also go see a psychologist. What you mentioned above is wrong on so many levels.

What is the matter with you? That is the worst story I have ever heard. Boy Oh Boy, what a shock when your 11 year old child had to look at that. Couldn't you have just drawn a picture or told her when she gets older she will know what it looks like ? I bet she will see that horrible image until she is an old woman. Then to let her touch it and explore it. Is there no shame to you ??? Good Gosh, when it comes to both exploring you found a lump. Yah it could be cancer or it could be just from you using it too much. You should worry more about the physcological damage that you did to your daughter. You old ----------------------------------!

heavily, have you ever in no way considered a image? also, in view that even as did an 11 year previous woman favor to understand that a lot? With that a lot element? Come on, there are extra mature recommendations to describe to a touch woman the position she got here from and what takes position even as she receives older than to teach her your kit. That became a mistake and down precise disgusting. so a ways because the lump? flow to a well being care service yet do not flow spreading your legs for instructions anymore.

For heaven's sake, what's wrong with getting a book from the library & showing her a picture from there or even off the internet! I thought my parents were bad just leaving books on the bed for me to read to explain "the birds & the bees", rather than sitting down & talking to me. I'd rather that than what your poor daughter has had to go through.
Regardless of whether the lump is anything or not, you need to see a doctor, as you have MAJOR issues to be dealt with.

Im so sick of the disgusting things you say on this sight. This is not the first peice of garbage from you . If you think your funny your not you should be sterilized and if you do have the son you spoke of in another question and this daughter you claim your 14yr old takes baths with in other question they need to be removed. No woman should joke like this if it is a joke (I dont think so)and if its true I will now go pray for god to send the cops to your home. Please Yahoo,Please give the cops her info ASAP!!she is a monster and no kids should be in 1000 feet of her.

For real though? That doesn't seem right. I would have gotten a book or told her to look at herself. You must be a few beers short of a six pack!
Go to the gynecologist about the lump. Go to a shrink about the other!

What kind of mother are you to be showing your daughter your vagina and letting her touch you in that way.
I agree w/ a few of the others that you should have shown her a picture.

It could be, but highly unlikely it is. If you're really worried, go have it looked at by a doctor. But before you freak out, I've gotten pimples in that area before, and they haven't always hurt either.

I'm not 100% sure it would be appropriate showing my 11 year old daughter my genitalia, but as long as you and she were comfortable with it, it should be fine. I'd make sure she understands that she doesn't do that with anyone else, and probably to not discuss it with anyone else either. Adult female genitalia really doesn't change from childhood, with the exception of pubic hair.
