i have this problem too! and the best thing that works for me is to make sure my hair is completely dry using either a blowdryer or air dry then in sections using the best of the best and nothing else straighten it with the maxi glide if you dont have it get it that will solve your problem believe me!

After you starighten your hair and get it set to a style you like, get Aussie Sprunch Spray and very lightly cover your hair, don't forget to spray the under side of the hair also. This should only have to be done one time for everytime you straighten.

There are also products made from 2 companies that I like a lot called Got 2 Be and then there is another from Herbal Essences. I think that the Aussie Sprunch Spray works best though. Make sure that you buy the one that is aerosol though and not the pump, it just doesn't work or smell the same.

You can apply a straightening serum after you straighten it. They sell serums that are made to protect against humidity and moisture. The serum should have silicone as one of the first ingredients. Don't use any serum that has water in it - it will not last as long and it might not even work for you if the humidity is really high.

Here's what I do ... and I live in SE Georgia on an island and have curly hair. I wash with heat activated/moisturizing shampoo & conditioner. Then, I put in some "get it straight" moose, let it get mostly dry and blowdry it as straight as possible. I use my flat iron after that and a frizz free shine serum to set it in place.

Also, there are these "things" you can get at Walmart. I don't know what they're called, BUT, they're strips of plastic that basically velcro to each other, so you can comb (not brush, when wet) your hair and let it air dry in them, then use the flat iron with frizz free serum.

(I prefer the second, as to not incur too much damage on my hair. And since I use my flat iron everyday, I'm always sure to do some intense moisturizing 3-4 times a month.)

Something else I have tried. Try letting your hair air dry curly with a frizz free pomade or light moose that controls frizz. THEN, use your flat iron. It's easier to control that frizz from wet hair, then trying to fix it when you're hair is already dry. Always be sure to use SOME kind of serum, pomade or shine that is frizz free AFTER you finish styling.

Didn't mean to write a book! Good luck!

hey, well i have to say that using any kind of muse or hair spray will just amke ur hair feel nasty and tough, and still frizz up... with my experience at least, but i kno the feeling of frizzy poofy hair too, but nothing (at a reasonable price) has worked yet except the gurnia fruitiss sleek and shine anti frizz serum (i kno i spelt that wrong, so i spelled it how it sounds, hope u kno what im talkin bout ) use it b4 u straighten it and after, and it should help u a lot... hope i helped!!!

I always spray hair before i run a flat iron through it. The spray I use is Sebastian shaper plus. It is humidity resistant which will keep it flater longer. Plus by spraying the hair before you iron it, you are protecting it. And healthier hair is always shiner and less frizzy

You need to get a good setting lotion that is humidity resistant but not too drying for your hair. Try some VO5

if your hair gets wet its nnot going to stay strait....hence sweating and humidity...but if you use a good sealing serum like chi serum or biologe shine renewal they help a lot because they seal the hair shaft when you straiten, an help prevent so much heat damage which is why its going to get frizzy also
