I do not believe any doctor will remove something that has nothing wrong. Many people do not have problems with their appendix. Focus on your attributes. Try not to worry about things that you have no control over. Worry will make it hard on your body in the future.

An invasive surgery without reason bears more risks than the fact you're afraid something *might* go wrong down the road. I doubt any doctor in the US will touch your healthy appendix with a ten-foot pole.

Plan a research trip to the Antarctic, one that will last many months. They frequently will remove appendices in such individuals prophylactically.

If you are a *good* hypochondriac, you need to find other, more likely diseases to worry about, there are lots of them out there.

Yes. I was misdiagnosed about 10 years ago and had my appendix removed. After they took it out, they noticed it appeared normal. I'm sure your insurance won't cover the surgery though since you didn't need it.

Why would you want unnecessary risks associtated with surgery such as blood clots? I have have had my appendix removed and it is no picnic. Be glad for you health, and remember the saying, "Be careful what you ask for".

nope. doctors will not preform surgery unless there is a reason. You could be setting them up for a big malpractice suit.

Insurance will not pay to have a health appendex taken out.
if you self pay, you will not find a good doctor who will take it out. Surgery is risky. you can get sicker or die by just taking out a healthy appendex.............So your answer is NO
