The Sonys are very nice, but it really depands on what type of tv you are looking at. "Best" is objective, best picture isn't the best priced tv, so it really depends on your needs.

Depends on what type of TV you are getting. I want to say when it comes to LCD's and Projection TV's Sony is the best. Samsung is also good. I wouldn't go with an RCA branded TV. I've seen many of those come out with defects, it's crazy. Panasonic makes great Plasma TV's, along with Pioneer.

depends on the type of television jeannie- for crt it has to be sony all the way-they led the feild for years-for rear pro/dlp then its samsung same with projection-for lcd (up to 37") it has to be lg-and for plasma 42" and over then its pioneer (although a bit expensive) my own set is an lg 42" considered by many to be the third best on the market today in the uk (pioneer and panasonic being the other two). of course its all a matter of personal preference.

Without a doubt, Samsung is the best bang for the buck on the market. VERY affordable, and their DLP sets produce, in my opinion, the best picture of any TVs on the market today,

Samsung LCD 1080p line for sure. The image is better than anything on the market right now

As far as picture quality, Sony SXRD without question. It has true 1920x1080 resolution, excellent brightness and good black levels.
