I wasn't aware that the bible has a dress code for church. I'm sure Jesus doesn't care how we dress. He's an accepting type and has a "come as you are" attitude. Besides, if we can't be comfortable, we might not attend at all.
Ta Da!

If they are truly heathens; you should not run them out. Its more important to teach them the Bible, how to be saved, how to have a relationship with God rather than run them off because of their clothes.
If have seen some people get ran off because they wore T-shirts and Jeans and maybe had a tattoo. Its disappointing that people are possibly condemned to hell because fellow Christians do not like their appearance.
I am not totally sure why people dress up at Church. I tend to believe it is sorta like an offering before God, you offer you best clothes (first fruits). :-) But, the only thing I worry about is what I have read in the Bible. As a man, I dress and appear like a man (i.e. a man should not look a women). But, I do believe you have the responsibility to dress appropriately. You should not wear anything that would be a stumbling block to other people attending church.

Why do you not ask the ones responsible, why they do not parent their children? The child does no more than what is allowed!
They are allowed to go to school half naked, TV gives them examples of trashy appearance, the adults say nothing.
And you expect to see something different?
Most have never been taught that the house of GOD is not their play place. Don't the parents bring the child's toys to church rather that to teach the child the reverence of GOD house?
The mentality, youth would not go to their Prom dressed as they come to church! That means their presence, beforee one another, is more important than what it is befor GOD!
And the adult world supports this mentality by its actions!
Did you complain to the school about the girls wearing only a ribbon for a skirt, that is all but painted on her butt? Or her belly button out and little or no blouse?
The child is a window into the home life! They are the parents report card for raising their child!
What grade does your parents deserve?
In a forum, you may call any issue into question, but you may not slander and public decorum is always the rule!

You should be glad that young people are even showing up for Church! Praise God! You have an awesome responsibility to witness to these young people about Christ! When God touches anyone what usually happens is that the outward signs of sin vanish first! Draw these young people in and let God do the rest!
P.S. The Bible was not made for shaking but for reading!

you know what, i cannot stand it when people say that...you dont know where they came from..here's an example...i was out with friends and while i left home it was around 5 and i was like i'll have time to go to mass [ i'm catholic but i prefer going to mass on saturdays]... but here's the thing i was wearing spagetti strap top and jeans...but if i had to go home and then go to church i'll be 45 min late...but at the same tie i do understand where you're coming from because three should be a certain code or something...but you also have to try to be in their shoes. maybe they come to church straight from something else, or they just feel that just being or going to church is what's important...God really doesnt mind...

If you live in a small town, it's probably because they cant think of anywhere else to go to meet people. What do you mean by improperly dressed? Do you have something against piercings? or just short skirts?

Thankfully God and Jesus look at the heart (I Samuel 16:7 and Revelation 2:23, respectively) while men look at the outward appearance. Praise God for the young people who do show up at church, however they are attired.

Come Just As You Are.
Shame on you for focusing on "clothes". You should be Praising God they are attending church.
Further more -and I've said this to other Pastors as well including my husband when he was "focused" on clothes. If you have a problem with what they have on, go buy them something else to wear.
Blessings To You & Yours

same reason that they go out in public dressed inappropriately, because they have no upbringing. If I had a child, that child would not go out of my house unless he or she was dressed decently and modestly. End of story
