Do you think they're a little egotistical, departmental, and tend to be more dominant in a relationship? If you think so, why do you think this is? Or maybe its just 18-25 year old guys in general? I dont know tell me your opinions:-)

Military men are no different then other men. You have your dominating ones, your egotistical ones, and your down right asses! But you also have have men that serve that are loving, compassionate, and understanding. And again, you'll find that no matter what a guy does for a living. You have your jerks, and you have nice guys!

You would think if you were serious about this question then you would have some part of the military or be in a relationship with a military member. I would think if you were in this situation you would know how to spell military....
I dont see where you get the ideas that men in the military are more dominant in relationships. You must of just got a bad apple. I got married shortly after I joined and was 18 at the time and me and my wife have always dones things 50/50.

Well first off I am in the age bracket which you singled out so I have to say I don't fit your description of being more dominant in my current or past relationships. There are times when my girl and I will get into an argument and I definitely stick to my guns, but that is human nature for anyone with a spine. We normally come to terms and decisions we make are 50/50. Now since I am getting ready to join the military it is not changing my outlook if anything it makes me more aware that I do need her for the support she provides me.

the military teaches men to be proud of themselves and they are probably more domineering partially for that reason. I was in the military and I think that it just draws men that are like that. I have also meet alot of men that were not in the military like that. I know that most young men those ages are still kind of finding out what life is really like. they may need a little help growing up.

The military prefers young men for 2 reasons. First is the obvious physical abilities necessary to fight. But more importantly is young men are easier to condition into accepting the orders and instructions from superiors that sometimes require them to do things that goes against there normal nature.
Only deviants can fight and kill without guilt or prompting. Normal people need to be conditioned and tought to do this. The military channels the normal male energy of young men away from normal competitive pursuits and towards goals that suit society from a military perspective. Its a form of "Brainwashing".
