CBS did a super slo-mo on the back nine when he was in a bunker. You could see the Titleist logo clear as a bell. When he's putting on 17, it's a Nike. I don't think it's a rules violation, but Nike can't be too thrilled.

The super slow motion was not of Tigers shot. CBS had filmed a number of different types of shots at super slo-mo just to show people what happens in different shot situations. The commentators did mention that you must have missed that.

On the PGA Tour as well as any golf match,a golfer must finish a hole with the same ball he teed off with. There are certain exceptions like if your ball gets out of round on the tee shot, you may replace your ball with anew one.I beleive the answer here is Tiger must have hit a Titalist into the bunker, which he must play, but I beleive he may change balls to putt with.

Thats a penalty. Unless he made clear with his opponet that the ball was unplayable. It is a rule violation, Some people that play nike golf play nike golf balls like Michell Wie. She plays nike clubs but plays a pv1. You should call The PGA.

I dont think thats true,
although ure allowed to change while puttinge, because u might have one with a line or something.

Tiger using PRO V 1's is impossible, unsless some one snuk it into his bag, but then again stevei's no slow cat.
i think ure mistaken.

If he did that it is a rules violation and he could be disqualified. I don't think so. You have to declare what ball you are playing with at the start.

he probably has to use a NIKE (by contract) when putting, as its usually the only time you can see the logo on TV

and best of luck to the padres too. only 4 games behind the dodgers right now, and i fear the dodgers will do something incredibly depressing. they often do, but at least i still have the memory of kirk gibson.
