I've heard of this before and I want to know first if it's possible and second how to. Also how long does it last for?

A friend tried it, not sure how she did it. But, it looks bad and it dyed her hands and arms and some of the her face too. It didn't last long and it wasn't worth it. I also heard kool-aid dyed hair attracts bees.

Yes kool-aid will work on light hair. If you try it on brown or darker shades it might add a "highlight" to the area you are trying to color but it will not be an extreme change.

It works best on blonde or bleached hair. (I wouldn't recommend bleaching b/c it causes terrible damages to your hair).

Try mixing a couple of packets with a very small amount of water. Just so the mix will be liquid enough to apply to your hair.

MAKE SURE YOU WEAR CLOTHING THAT YOU DONT CARE ABOUT AND WEAR LATEX OR PLASTIC GLOVES BEFORE MIXING. LAY DOWN SOME SORT OF PROTECTIVE COVERING ON THE COUNTER OR AREA YOU PLAN TO DO IT IN. KOOL-AID WILL STAIN. (THAT IS THE POINT).

1. First wash your hair with shampoo only. When you strip your hair of the oils that your scalp naturally produces, the mixture will adhere better to you hair.
If you use red on blonde hair, leave it on until your hair dries.

2. Rinse your hair until the water runs clear.

3. Apply conditioner and rinse out.

The red, will fade over time but it does have a permanent effect. It will fade to pink, so make sure you can live with that before you go through this process.

It lasts for way more than a day! I would say several weeks to months depending on how deep the color is.

Good Luck!

If you want a really dramatic color, on dark hair, then you have to bleach it first. For vibrant colored dyes, Manic Panic works fantastic and is semi permanent.

yes you can because other dye could break your hair. first wash wet your hair then put in kool- aid of any color. it might get on you but you can wash it off. it last 2 or 3 weeks.

Yeah..your hair has to be really light though(if it's not maybe consider bleaching it before hand) It won't come out as bright as it would if you dyed it with hair color..but you'll have a tinge of color that will last about a week (unless you don't wash it LOL).

relies upon on how lengthy you leave the kool-aide on. I boiled water with pink kool-aide and soaked element of my sisters hair in it for 0.5-hour. She had to diminish the colour out. by no skill washed out.

first depending on how dark your hair is you might have to use a lightner first then mix the kollaid but not to much water it will take several oacks cause you want it kinda thick but not paste thick wear gloves use a bowl and brush and paint it on let it sit for quite awhile check a spot by rubbing some off with a paper towel if its the color you want rinse with cool water if not ready apply a liitle more and let sit till ready ... something easier is colors by raw and special effects you can find them hot topic

yes a couple of shampoos but you need to make the koolaid strong like 1 pkg. to 1 C. of water and wear gloves because it will stain. If you are white when it rains or you swaeat it will coem down in streams of color of your skin. Use a light layer of Vaseline on your scalp around your hairline.

Kool-Aid will only stain your hair, therefore your hair has to be light in order for you to see it .

one of my friends did that last year after her mom told her that she wasn't allowed to dye her naturally blonde hair. it turned out really pink and luckily faded within 2 weeks. don't do it. if you're really set on the idea of having reddish hair, just buy some hair dye at any supermarket. nothing's over $10.

have fun!

Yeah, it works, but why on earth would you want to? Have you seen what colour Kool-Aid is?!
