The rental cost is calculated on from where you are to where you want to go. It's more expensive to go to the West than to the East. The taxes and fees are standard and everybody pays them. Time of year you want to rent is also a factor. The size of the truck you rent is a factor. Leaving it short of gas will cost you a buck or two per gallon above retail to have the owner fill it, so top it off before you turn it in.

I have rented trucks from Budget Truck Rental with good success on several occasions. I recommend them. I have rented from them four times. I would again if the need arose. I think driving yourself is much cheaper than having Mayflower do it for you.

It all depends on the time of year and how long you plan to have the truck. It also depends on how big of a truck you need and whether or not you get the insurance. Go to www.budget.com for more info.
