Well, i am planning on dropping the tea and coffe. i don't want t drink it no more, because somehow i have become dependent on it. if i don't drink it i get headaches and stuff and just my day doesn't start off right. i've been drinking tea for about 8 years now. if i do stop what are the short and long term effects on my lifestyle and body? how long will it take to get the feeling off?

i appreciate any help thank you.

OK - your body is dependent on caffeine. You need to cut back slowly. You cannot go cold turkey. Start halving whatever you drink until you are down to 1 cup a day. Then try changing to herbal tea. Be aware that colas also have caffeine. You may need to cut them out also or only drink caffeine-free kinds. I'd wait until the weekend - especially a long weekend for the big caffeine drop as you will not feel great for 72 hours or until your body is totally off caffeine. With Labor Day weekend coming up now is a good time to start cutting back so you have that weekend for end the caffeine effects.

Good luck! By the way, if you can find someone who does acupuncture they might be able to help you get through this.
You can do it - good for you!

Wean yourself down slowly and don't cut tea completely there are genuine health benefit from drinking tea.
Try green or white teas, low caffeine best health benefits. So of the flavoured ones are magnificent I like celestial seasoning white tea with pear.
Herb teas are a great substitute, my fave is honeybush, sorry forgot the brand name and I'm not home. Also chilled herb teas are awesome too.

Cut back slowly, say one cup a day over the course of a month or two and you should see little to no side effects.
