Weight alone is not a factor to determine fatness. Height is another one. 143 lbs won't be fat if you are over 5' tall. Muscles must be considered too. Since muscles are heavier than fat, a big and muscular person may be of the same size as a fat person but the former is big and the latter is fat.

It depends on how tall you are, hon. If you're a big-boned girl and your weight is well distributed, you're not considered fat. If you're petite, though, you might want to address the overweight issue because it could determine your weight when you reach adulthood. If you feel you are overweight, see your doctor. He or she might refer you to a dietician who can help you choose the right foods and the right amount of foods. Also, be sure to get enough exercise. At 13, your body is still developing and growing, so you don't want to go on any dangerous fad diets. Let a health professional advise you. Hopefully, your parents will help you on your quest to the ideal weight for your build and height. Good luck!

At 13 your bodys metabolism should be at its best. Most girls have problems with your body image, but if you have to make a yahoo answer post asking about it then you definiatly should make some changes, fat or not. Find a weight your comfortable at and that you can maintain in a healthy way. A good goal would be to have a BMI about 20%.

It depends on your height and your bone mass. I'm 21, 5'8" 145 lbs, with a small-medium build. But most people think I weigh about 125 or 130. So it just depends. You should consult with a doctor or a nutritionist. They will be able to determine if your weight is healthy or not.

Your weight depends on a lot of factors, your height, amount of muscle, and the way you are naturally built. I imagine that if you are tall and somewhat muscular, you are not fat. I wouldn't worry too much about it, everyone hates their body during puberty. Any excess fat you have will likely go away in a couple years if you stay active and eat well.

Without more information, there is no way to say.

1. How tall are you?
2. How muscular are you? Muscle weighs more than fat. Do you work out, what kind of shape are you in, physically?
3. What types of physical activity do you do every week. For what duration, at what intensity?

Not if you're over say 5'4.Still,go to a doctor for reassurance, have them calculate your BMI and don't work yourself up.Just eat a reasonable diet and get some active exercise in at least four times a week.Don't get obsessive over your weight, girl.Everyone has a particular musculature and body type so don't try to achieve an image of a body type that simply isn't yours Enjoy your teenage years, they'll be gone before you know it!!

It really depends on your height. The average height for a 13 year old would be about 5'-5'2"......I think. If you're that tall, I would say you're overweight.
