is there anyone out there who would rather embrace the teachings of esoteric practices and religions rather then be conditioned by advertising, and mass media? which have become the christianity of our age.

I can't answer your question exactly but I can say that I choose to be independent. I don't even begin to take TV and other media seriously. What I see in society is people "keeping up with the Joneses," doing things and getting things because their neighbor is. What a bad way to decide what to do in your life!
